General/Other Nightwing: The Backstory

When the Joker shoots the original Robin, Batman relieves him of his duties as Robin. No longer Robin, Dick Grayson seeks out Superman for help. Superman tells Robin of the legend of Nightwing, and his quest for justice on a distant planet called Kypton, and Dick Grayson finds his purpose. After joining up with the Teen Titans, he takes to Gotham's streets in an effort to root out the numerous crime syndicates.

Upon Batman's death from Darkseid, Nightwing takes up the identity of the Bat. Upon Bruce Wayne's resurrection, Dick returns to his former identity; Nightwing.

Nightwing fights in the name of good and to defend the innocent, and will stop at nothing to deliver vigilante justice upon the unrighteous.

Nightwing will be a playable character in NeatherRealm Studios' upcoming game Injustice: Gods Among Us, do out in 2013.

Nightwing was actually a Kryptonian legend of a guy who would go around beating the shit out of criminals. Dick just asked advice from Superman on what his name should be when he got fired.

Dick was the OG Robin, Jason came afterwards and then died like a bitch. His suit is pretty much just a circus leotard with some armor on it. He doesn't like being to heavy because it impedes his ability to move the way he wants.

Pre-Crisis you had it right but Post-Crisis he was Batmans original Robin for a while until he got shot by Joker then Bruce fired him because he was worried that he was going to die. He goes to Metropolis to get advice from Superman and he tells him the legend of Nightwing from Krypton so Dick decides to take up the name and join the Titans full time. He heads off to Bludhaven at some point after that and becomes pretty much the Batman there. During Final Crisis, Batman is killed by Darkseid so Dick ends up taking the Batman mantle and has his stomping grounds in Gotham again. Bruce Wayne comes back to life through shenanigans and then Dick goes back to being Nightwing.

In the New 52 canon we really have no idea whats going on because editorial doesn't know how to talk to each other so we've got conflicting issues going on. For the most part, his past shit remains in-tact but Bludhaven never existed.

Not sure where the idea of him being shot came from. Never happened. Not when he decides to quit robin at least. Basically Bruce just gets mad because dick is spending too much time with the Teen titans. They get into a fight, bruce fires him. Dick decides the role of robin should stay with batman so he quits that. Then yea goes to superman for advice and stuff. The rest is more or less true. Any type of bios can be looked up on comicvine. But in Nightwing year one it shows dick being late to helping bruce with clay face. And thats where everything more or less started.

Both sies of the story are right but u don't here about kryptonian nightwing till superman and the whole braniac new kyrpton . Dick became robin after leaving or passing down the robin name to jason to take up full time leader and founder of teen titans or they were titans at this time dick wasn't shot by joker..barbra was in the killin joke jason was beaten with a crow bar in death in the family dick and tim are the most sain lol jason and damion are both insane

K ya so that's a lil morbid bro lol I mea I think that's why they gave hime a crow bar hit in the game not to mention he is seen using it in the newer version of death in the family (which everyone shoul read hnits point at dick's death this time since they said anyone is up for grabs )

The writers contemplated killing him in the infinite crisis. Superboy prime almost kills him but superboy takes the hit instead. ^-^ Also whats up gweedo! Dick > Tim :D

what up KAS lol and hell no Tim is the best Red Robin is amazing lol but honestly Red Hood and Red Robin need to be in DLC just to complete the Bat Family

Haha well im not sure about Red Hood getting in, although that would be awesome. But did you see the Collector edition? It has Robins symbol on it >.> and I dont think they mean Damian.
