so is staff db2 MB really like +28 on block? If so canceling all your strings into this should give a safe jump also the normal one gives advantage on block too.

So far as footsies goes I have been using standing 3, or b+1,1 or b+2.. Into bnb sometimes f+2 to quick punish some moves..

Pretty sure he means in the eskrima sticks stance. I've just been keeping it simple and saving my meter for push block and following it up with Kali Fury into another b2 Ground Spark Hold for oki nonsense.

But I'm curious to know if you can get anything off of a dash in d12 link. I've hit them, but sometimes they fall on the other side of me. Not sure if its viable. (been hard as fuck for me to hit even d12xx4xxGroundBlast MB launcher)

Also, anyone else using his stance dance (L2) in staff? Its kinda stupid fast and looks like his launching 3 move, which is -11 on block, cute mind games to be had? (cept the 3 actually makes a little whoosh effect <.< )

but jumps dont work the same in this game, so does +28 still grant a safe jump like in mk?

also what version of the game are u playing xbox or ps3? it seems there have been some small changes made to the xbox version, so the ps3 version isnt really a 100% up to date, so the frame data on it might get nerfed.
 
Jumping while in staff stance? It´s a little bunny hop. Why do you want to jump in a stance with far reaching normals? btw his j2 and j3 are 0 and +4 onblock i guess (can´t remember exactly, maybe wrong), in my opinion this is not a good idea to trade +28 against +4.

Does anybody have dicovered some useable blockstrings?

d1XX db3 meter burn to make it safe on standing block. Does mind boggling amounts of chip damage and builds crazy meter.

we need to stop talking about standing blocks and staffspin MB , there are only 4 characters out of the roster that can duck staff spin MB , they are the exception to the rule not the standard.

but yes people should remember that staffspin MB on block builds about half a bar of meter on block and leave them at huge frame disadvantage. IMO when in doubt d1 db3 MB lol

Not sure if known, but I noticed that Scatter Bomb and its MB version both push NW a nice distance where he can counterpoke with b2.

So what is your opinion on back 11 in escrima, I thought it was good when I started out, but I haven't used it in a while and my go to pokes are back 2 and forward 213

Easy hitconfirm string, can use B112 on block for it to be +2. But you cannot do anything after that, opponent can easily backdash out of anything he follows it up with.

I used it more at the beginning of the game.
