New Killer Instinct Announced for XBOX ONE!

Neither impressed by XBox One or Killer Instinct... I really don't know what I am going to do in the coming generation.

I would just like to add that as far as I am concerned... Killer Instinct for the Xbox 1 is only Killer Instinct by name. I mean pretty much everything is different... (of course change is to be expected... but I think it is a completely different game now). Like it isn't so crazy for someone to love MK3 and hate Armageddon .

It's obvious that ps4 is the better choice. I hope that one day this game is release on pc bc there is no way in hell I'm buying a Xbox one for this game.
Either way I don't see any fighter on ps4 either and injustice is such a scrubby game, I think I'm just gonna have to get the pc version of mk9 & ssf4 and be done with consoles.

The new KI has some fantastic visuals. The fireball effect was awesome. That's really all I can tell from the little info we have. I hope they offer a full version of the game as well...kind of like what Ultimate DOA5 is doing, you can either buy the complete edition at a normal game price or just buy individual characters.

I'm still deciding on a next gen console and, though KI looks pretty, it's not going to sell me on a console. I want to see more games. I have an XBox360 now but, like many here, I'm looking at this E3 and thinking PS4 is winning my money b/c of XBox's policies.

You pay for the game yet the publisher and microsoft can still tell you what you can and cant do with it. So I know people are getting hyped for Killer Instinct. I was interested myself just from the legacy of that name. KILLER INSTINCT.

But unfortunately I'm here to rain on everyone's parade. And I'm not talking about the Xbox One policy/E3 disaster. Your expectations of the quality of this game need to be drastically low considering the developer in charge, Double Helix.

So there you have it. A 7 year history of games ranging from "terrible" to "not awful", with a couple of passable flukes. Some titles are plagued by game breaking glitches and freezes. And they seem to just license whatever title they can get to make a quick buck. They butchered Silent Hill (shortly after making The DaVinci Code and Buffy The Vampire Slayer...) and then they moved on to a bunch of other movie based titles.

Now they're making what is expected to be a tournament caliber fighting game. If you thought NRS made some buggy stuff, just wait. I hope to be proved wrong. But I certainly don't expect it.

I think the game looks good but it isn't Killer Instinct for me, it has the chars and the long combos but from I watched it seems closer to SF than MK.

I think everyone already knew this. People are willing to let it slip because of nostalgia... I might also mention there are no finishers. The graphics don't look next gen... F2P system... tournament issues... on a console that is bound to die... eh I don't know. I don't want to beat a dead horse. It isn't for me. I hope it is a good game though!

I does worry me that the current build is pre-alpha and they're supposed to have the finished product ready by November. Unless they have an army of code monkeys I honestly can't see how that will be possible.

im very familiar with this terrible dev. great post. aside from the hardware issues of the xbox 1 and the exclusivity of KI, the developer was my next big problem. these guys have never made a good game. but the interview Max did with the floor person at e3 was somewhat uplifting, as he said something like "we are taking tournament fighters concerns on board and the concerns of the players in general" etc. im sure you saw the video, and they might just be saying some things to keep players happy.

same development studio, but that doesn't automatically mean that the same people are still working for them.

i heard on the e3 stream that they have people working for them now who worked on SSF2, and Skullgirls, so we'll just have to see what the game's actually like when it's out.
