New ex dash punch corner reset

I seen egp tyrants dash punch reset and thought maybe there could be a way to make it more damaging so i played around with it a little and came up with this. Also im hoping more people will try and make a more damaging version. Awesome job finding this Tyrant. this is the url

It's an interesting tech, but the thing is, would it be truly useful in a match, casual or not? If you have the meter, why not just go for a 70 percent combo since you already launched them anyway. And the reset puts the opponent out of the corner, something that's completely counterproductive to Jax's game which relies so much on the corner.

true but im hoping there is a way to do this off of a reset thats what ive been doing in the lab. and im sure u could get a crossover punch to jail them for a mix up

also if they are about to build a breaker u could do this reset and go for pressure to chip them out or for a grab setup i know its not the go to corner tech i just thought it was cool

Was in DEATH IS CERTAIN (combo starts at 10:27)

Here is the writeup for DEATH IS CERTAIN and all the new tech that was presented in it. Unfortunately, when TYM went down, this post was lost, along with DEATH IS CERTAIN. Thankfully, MKU still had the post. Jax is towards the bottom, listed as "Jax Cage"

"To go over as much tech as possible:

Cyber Reptile reset - This happens when Cyrax throws a bomb out on screen during a combo. If the opponent is in the air when it happens, the entire combo resets, including the gravity. The one bar 100% seen in this video can also be done with NO BARS, with no reset needed for the ex~forceball. Very hard to land. Cyber Reptile is playable in challenge tower.

Kung Lao 94% - This is prepatched. Was done mainly to see kind of damage i can do now.

Kenshi 82% - This is also prepatched. It uses the Reptile invisible forceball. When Kenshi throws Sheeva onto it, Kenshi falls back but is able to tech roll in time for a 2~xray. The combo FLYS OVER the forceball from f22b2. Very cool combo! My favorite in video.

Sektor Tag Out Missile Reset - This is only works with a few tagout animations in the entire game. It works with Kenshi, Cyrax, Cyber Sub, Sektor and Sheeva. Basically what happens is the homing missile follows the character that was tagged out, allowing you to combo into it in a certain amount of time.

Quan 180% - This combo works because of Shang's morphback, but more so, the real tech here is the find that practice doesn't give you all the meter for your specials at the end of the lifebar. For example, if you start this combo with a full lifebar, when the combo resets into the second lifebar, the trance that you do on Shang after he morphs back will give you LESS METER. If you do it with one 1% chipped off the lifebar, it gives you a little more meter. If you start it with 2% or 3% chipped from the lifebar, the lifebar will reset on the exact amount of enhanced rune and reward you with the full amount of meter from trance.

Kratos parry reset - This is done by doing a slow forceball with Reptile from one corner and jumping over towards the next corner before the forceball reaches. Kratos is able to ex parry the forceball, which results in him throwing an unblockable projectile, and since you are in hitstun from "112", it combos right into it. When timed right, there are 2 unescapable frames where the damage resets, but Reptile cannot move (same 2 frames from MKDC).

Noob Saibot Breaker combo - Any 2 hit jab string or jumppunch + follow up done as Noob is throwing a portal will result in him doing a breaker right onto the portal. Second portal setup is only guaranteed on Shang.

Jade Noob 3 glows, 1 ghostball - Jade is able to build meter with glows at precise points in the combo. Once after the enhanced boomerang, once after Noob's ghostball, and once as they are landing from the b2 OTG.

Shang Cyrax Smoke Kenshi - Shang soulsteals Cyrax in tag. Cyrax tags out, Shang finishes morphback as the bomb is about to explode, then steals the soul of the second character that was tagged in.

Shang Sheeva Freddy - Sheevas 212f1 is the ONLY string in the game that grants an unblockable combo after sweet dreams. If you didn't know, any combo done after Sweet Dreams is blockable, but for whatever reason, Sheeva's 212f1~tag sweet dreams is the only string where a combo is unblockable afterwards. EXTREMELY rare find here! Also works midscreen for 80% vs Sheeva only (will be in part 2).

Quan Chi Double Skeleton Boost - This combo only works if you wait about 10 seconds before the starting the combo. By the time you hit the trance, the skull boost will finish, and there is a precise time as it finishes where you can input for another skeleton boost.

Cyrax 111% - The damage readout on this combo is severely off. This combo actually does 116%. The damage from 33 does not register at the end of the lifebar (very similar to the meter glitch with Quan 180%.)

Noob 75% wall - This combo registers in 2 parts. 9% and 66%. Portal is unblockable, so it is unescapable even though it registers separately.

Jax Cage - Jax does an enhanced dash punch, which only connects on the first hit. While stunned, Jax then jumps over the opponent, and as he is crossing over them is the exact frame which they recover, which then forces the opponent to turn for 2 frames before they can jump. During those 2 frames Jax is hitting them with a jump punch~12~tag assist forceballs, and on the frame that the second forceball is blocked, Jax is able to throw.

Freddy Baraka - Baraka's tag in combo is his 1+2 of his 22 1+2 string. It is 2 hits, and before the second hit, you can special cancel. The stun from this first is so long that a sweet dreams can fall from the sky and they are still stunned from 1+2, and on the frame that the sweet dreams connects, a throw is done. Both hits will trade off with each other, but the Sweet Dreams will connect. 100% unescapable. Sheeva only.

Cyrax 112% near the end - This combo actually does 118%. The lifebar is 99.9% finished before the 33 connects. Neither of 33's damage registers on the combo, and those 33's add up to 5% damage. The d1 at the end adds another 1%. Making this combo 118%. Works on anyone. And damage on lifebar after the combo was chipped down, confirming it to be 118%.

Shang 60% - As mentioned by Detroit, this combo is prepatched. I was lucky enough to land this combo where it showed 60% instead of 59%. 99% of the time you do this combo, it will show 59%. Got VERY lucky there. No idea how i got it to show 60%.

Kenshi 71% - This also uses the prepatched Reptile invisible forceball glitch. Some of these combos involving the invisible forceball glitch might able to be replaced with Sektor's tag out missile reset now.

I believe that is all for now. Tony may do a few writeups."
