I'm not saying it's completely useless, id imagine it to be useful against a character or two if labbed properly. Otherwise though, I just don't get why you'd ever use any wakeup reversal when you can bait the wakeup and just block or armor break and most likely get more damage AND get the opponent off a bar of meter.yes, it reverses their inputs
if you wake up with any button, no matter what it is, say for example you wanted to wake it with DF2 but instead got DB2, which comes out as B2, chances are you are getting whiff punished due to the oki, also, the hitbox on your move will be coming out in the opposite direction to the player
this is all for good reversal tech set-ups, i dont know how well this one works cause i havent labbed it
213 ender into run cancel neutral jump reverses inputs, and its awesome because its ambigous, if you input it a few frames slow it doesn't reverse, so it 50/50's the reversal
its not universal tech, complete trash against someone like Sektor of course, but hey its good stuff
Like, against Tempest it would be good because he'd end up waking up with an unarmoured ExHatSpin instead of ExSpin which will still get them off a bar of meter and get you damage.
But against someone like Cage for example, instead of getting ExNutPunch he's just gonna get up and do nothing. Yeah you'll still get the damage but you'd get the damage if you just blocked it or walked back and whiff punished anyway. The only difference is with this tech he gets to keep the meter for a potential breaker or another armour move on his next wakeup so he isn't really getting punished as hard despite you making the same read.
