MK Rebirth sucks. MK Legacy (by the same director) sucks too, but at least it somehow follows the game's story.
To the dude who has a problem with the Edenian scenes: it was the directing that was awful, not the idea in the games. You love this franchise for who the characters are and that comes from the canon story, not from the gameplay. Raiden is a thunder god, not a guy with a hat. Kitana is a princess, not a French assassin. There's nothing outside of the MK lore. You must not be a fan if you hate the story.
Regarding this tv series, has anyone learned anything new?
