Even Mk9 in 2011 was a decent bet because fighting game players enjoyed the nostalgia of having all the old characters and arenas and half decent fighting mechanics. Injustice might just be a gimmick filled action sequence.

Didn't MrWizard say on the stream that he bet on MK because it had an established fanbase? And that's why Injustice didn't get picked up, because it's technically a "new game"?
