The redesigns look awful compared to season 1 and i'm pretty sure lui kang is a good guy and main protag or do i not know what Mortal Kombat is.

Perhaps Liu is still the good guy, and Stryker is actually the bad guy. Many of yous are jumping to conclusions WAY to early lol, this is only a trailer. We have NOT seen any of the story, which is probably why the characters look and act the way they do, so we need to wait and see first. The fact that MK1 Movie Shang is in just guarantees atleast 1 character in this Season will be automatically Bad-Ass

There is probably a reason why his face is not hidden, perhaps he may even start out with the mask in the show and have it removed later. SO many possibilities at this point...

Well if they kept the costumes identical to the originals, then people would complain about the show lacking creativity seeing how they used the original costumes. So, it is a win-lose situation here, people will love and hate no matter what costumes/actors are used...

I am calling it from NOW... Kang is the "Darth Vader" of the "Empire", while Shang Tsung is the "Emperor"... Meaning, that I can pretty much see either A) Kang killing Shang off and being Shao Kahn's right hand (now, THERE is the new, fresh idea/surprise) or B) the cliche-happy ending scenario where Raiden gets Kang back to his senses and him turning good at the end...

I don't mind with the costumes or anything. I just cannot handle Ermac's look (not that I reject it) and the "happy" and (again) cliche story of Bi Han and Hanzo Hasashi once being friends. Kung Lao, Kenshi and Mileena looks great and as close to the game as they could.

I wish they got younger actors for Kung Lao and Johnny Cage. (Age is irrelevant Shang because HE STEALS SOULS FOR A LIVING!) Kung Lao's actor is 48 yrs old and Cage's actor is 44. I'm still trying to feel positive about this though.

re: Mileena. In the first Legacy they has the extra wide mouth not visible at all times (IIRC she tries to control it but often fails when she is very emotional), but you could see the join/scars. In this you can clearly see the scars/join, and I would put money on there being a scene where she opens her mouth fully in a fit of rage.

As for Ermac's face not being bandaged up, personally I don't think it's that much of an issue and it'll probably be fan-serviced at some point during the episodes where he covers up. Kung Lao's lack of blade on his hat is far more "worrying" than whether Ermac has his mouth covered.

Sub Zero's costume does look terrible though. Like, really really bad.

Looks so fucking good for MK, crisp and smooth as hell from a show perspective, and the MK universe has more than enough source material for them to fill an entire regular-sized series.

Yeah, lol I said the same thing haha. He doesn't look anything like Ermac. Creepy and dark, MK themed? yes but Ermac? No.

Still, the Ermac vs. Kenshi fight looks epic. I'm hoping Kenshi frees him and Ermac turns good like in the game's saga during Deception arch.

I guess no Kabal no NW perhaps if there's a season 3 of Legacy. Can't wait for this... The Sub/Scorpion fight also looks freaking epic, ice ball... teleportation! lol

My only remote issues with this based off the trailer so far are:

1. Raiden seems WAY too soft for a God

2. Ermac's costume, no ninja mask, looks like an undead gypsy with green paint on his face lol Not enough red on him.

3. Sub's mask looks like one of those anti-dust masks you get at home depot and/or a biker mask lol

4. Mileena has normal teeth, and just looks like a female Joker with scars on her cheeks. She needs to look more beastly in the face

Outside of those things I'm looking forward to it.

As for LK being evil, he could be good but just not give a shit about humanity or he could be an arrogant dick thinking he can save everyone but doesn't want to like MK9(minus wanting to save Earthrealm) so if he dies, I won't mind lol.
