Are you guys interested/Free on Wednesday nights? Possibly we could start a weekly tournament on Wednesdays kind of like WNF.

The 5$ is the Venu fee to the MTLSF HQ (I need to pay the rent you know)
10$ for the tournament itself is the standard anywhere.
Pay out is usually 70%/20%/10% (1st-2nd-3rd) unless we are a little number then its 70%/30% (1st-2nd)

Since MAT VIII is just around the corner there will be tournaments Tuesdays & Saturdays.

Bring your own Pad/Stick/Converter unless you want to ask someone else to play with theirs.

MK9 tournaments at HQ are on PS3 only

SSF4 & MVC3 are on Xbox

As usual founders of the HQ dont need to pay the 5$ venue fee because they invested money in keeping the HQ alive and running.

All the info can be found on www.mtlsf.com even the HQ location under the HQ menu.

If you guys have questions im the guy to get in touch with.

Hope to see you guys Tuesday / Saturday and at MAT VIII lets make the MK9 tournament HYPE.

For all the people complaining about paying 5$ to come to HQ I honestly dont know what to tell you other than we are not foonzo and we respect the owners of foonzo as we personally know them ..
The HQ is the place to find higher level play usually in MTL.

ill speak with phoun and ask him if we can host Weekly's at Foonzo.Ill be passing by Foonzo on Wednesday as well if anyone is interested in playing some casuals. (Around 6pm)

I think i might be going to Foonzo with a friend of mine on Friday, if anyone wants to play(I wanna play some Marvel also)


Edit: Apparently Zaf has talked to Jin about trying to get weeklies on Friday's or something? So i guess he can keep us posted with that.

Price adjustment for tonight's MK9 tournament @ HQ

Tournament fee is 5$ not 10$ per player.
Remember to pay your HQ venue fee of 5$ when you walk in please.

SO basically if you're coming for casuals only its 5$ and if you want to participate in the MK9 tournament its 5$ more.

i was talking to jin about weeklies. I was asking for friday since last friday went so well.
Friday seems like an overall better day for a lot of people. We can stay out later as well. We will talk about it when you call me Jedah. I need to ask/ go over some things with you anyways.

hey crankypunk send me a pm or something. Id like to bring my ps3 to mat to help out and have another set up. I can bring a tv for it too.

So that retarded shit Sub zero can do in the corner with ground freeze,, is this going to be banned or is this allowed? Cuz ermac has the same sort of set up, an inescapable wall "combo". Cept his uses the unblockable, tele-slam and a neutral j.punch. Course a breaker gets you out, but for when you dont have a breaker its kinda retarded. Been doing this to people online and its just lols.

but he doesnt have a console, maybe he can practise more often with you

LOL i pulled that shit on you at the tourney... Its actually really easy to get out of just wakeup special attack and voila so no it wont be banned

also the ermac "infinite" in the corner isnt a infinite you can simply just jump out of the corner or again wakeup special attack check out tom bradys youtube channel he explains both scenarios
