I thought they confirmed during final round that updates are tied to profiles? So if no one changes the profile then the update sticks? Either they weren't patched ahead of time or someone changed the profile both things that aren't utterly of their control. From what I understand the update doesn't just disappear. I know I've never had an update just vanish. I mean shit how many times have all the streamed weeklies just had updates vanish?

This reminds me a lot of the time when MK9 was first streamed at MLG (if anyone remember that), a lot of commercials and breaks in between and a ton of confusion and missed matches. Luckily, Arturo worked with MLG at the time, and a lot of these issues were cleaned up. I'm pretty sure if injustice is at MLG next time (which is looking bleak atm) a lot of these issues can be cleaned up, just as it were for mk9.

That's the dumbest shit ever... the DLC and paid stuff should be available to ALL profiles as long as the profile that owns/paid for it is present on the system.

Game companies need to focus less on combating piracy... it makes the people like us who paid for the game (some several times over) have to suffer for these endless problems.

You would think that Midway/NRS would have learned their lesson from Shujinko in MK Deception where if you didn't have TWO profiles that have all of his moves unlocked, then you can't play him to his full potential and only one player gets to use him... DUMBEREREST SHIT EVER

I love what MLG did for Mortal Kombat 9 and I am a very patient fool, but this tournament is one of the worst run in fighting game history.

- pointless side tournament
- two hours (and counting) of delay
- unpatched consoles
- casual games being streamed instead of the main tournament
- stream is offline as of this post

What is in the world is going on over there?

This happened with SC5. Unpatched consoled led to a Natsu fest. Not to mention the rules were changed randomly and one of the host was mean to some players, calling them worthless.
