MK11 Pocket Guide: Koming Soon to the App Store
I'd definitely check this out if it contained the in-game frame data.
That's actually on the way! Turns out it's way more time-consuming than I originally thought, so I wanted to release the base app first and include frame data in an update. I've already finished Cassie and D'Vorah, and I'm hoping to have everyone done within the next update or two. I just didn't want to mention it because I don't like to advertise something that's not there yet, heh. But the way it works (though it's currently disabled in the App Store version) is similar to the Brutalities you see in the screen shot. You'll tap on a move, and you will get a popup with all of the info about that move. All frame data, high/mid/low hits, etc., and any descriptions necessary. Everything that's displayed on-screen in the in-game menu is what I'm including.

Great, I look forward to it. I understand its time consuming, probably why we don't have any complete frame data guides posted anywhere, would be nice to have access to it outside of the game. I've even tried typing up the frame data myself to print it out and it honestly seems too daunting just to do that. =/

Great work with what you have so far, though.

Thanks! I really appreciate it. It has definitely been a lot more work than my previous MK and Injustice guides, haha.

Oh really? What's it called?
I don't know if this is the app he is talking about but this is the app I'm using for Android and it is really awesome.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.AndrewStanton.MKXGuide

  • It has a screen always on feature
  • Kuston Kombos with variation sorting. So you can set a kustom kombo you enter to show up only on the variations you want. Great for universal Kombos as well as variation specifics.
  • Set the buttons to Numbers, Xbone or PS4 (dose anyone use anything lse but numbers?)
The guy is friendly, I spoke to him in emails and is open to sugestions. He is still imporoving it but so far I think it is with out any competition for android.

Yes, that is the one! Very similar to mine. I think our ideas and features are nearly identical, haha. Though I actually have even more customization options coming in the next couple weeks, which may be included with the Tanya update or sooner, depending on her release date and how far along I am with the coding.

Version 1.2 has been submitted to the App Store! Now it's in Apple's hands, waiting for review. Hopefully much faster this time.

Here are the release notes:

UPDATES!
- Kustom Kombos are now FULLY EDITABLE while entering them! Simply tap inside the Kombo Input box, and now you are free to backspace if you make an error, reorganize, or add any additional symbols or notes you’d like (such as your preferred annotation for EX moves, run, njp, jip, xx or ~ for Cancels, etc). Or you can even copy/paste a sweet combo you found online! Note that the on-screen buttons provided still function the same way as before, so you still have quick access to the same formatting and symbols used in the Moves Lists.
- Updated help screen with new Kustom Kombo functionality
- Updated all character bios to match current in-game descriptions

FIXES!
- Kung Lao (Tempest) - changed Tornado move title to blue text
- Goro Shokan Flame Brutality - fixed %@ typo in requirements
- Fixed an error that prevented some of Kitana’s Basic Attacks from displaying
- Added character descriptions for Goro and Jason

CHANGES! (for May 14th Patch Update)
- Kitana - new Basic Attack, Pretty Kick, b3
- Kitana - can now perform x-ray in air
- Mileena - can now perform x-ray in air
- Quan Chi (Warlock) - Portal Slam combo removed
- Quan Chi (Warlock) - new special move, Portal Scoop, df1
- Shinnok - old b3 Basic Attack (Shin Kick) is now f4
- Shinnok - new b3 Basic Attack: Devious Heel
- Shinnok (Necromancer) - new location controls for Judgment Smash and Judgment Fist

So along with frame data, what else would you guys like to see in future updates? I have about 5 new features in the works already, with frame data being #1, but I'm always looking for more feedback!

Is it possible to do like custom combo sharing notes with people? I would get a lot of mileage out of that with some friends if we all had the app. I'm on android unfortunately.

Yep, I actually already have that in the works! You will be able to show/hide whichever sections you'd like, and put them in any order you'd like. That is the first new feature coming after the frame data update.

The reason this even came about is because I found the Special Moves list to be way too long for some characters, and it was not easy to quickly glance at. That's why I added the Special Moves - Highlights section and put it at the top with the Fatalities. I figured those would be the things people would want to glance at the fastest and most often. Then I put the Kombos since its only a quick scroll down. Then below that, Special Moves - Detail, to see the full list of every option available for every move (such as meter burns, enhance, extra inputs, etc). I figured that would be further down, since it's more for studying a character rather than glancing during a match. That's also why Brutalities are at the end - they're more for studying in advance and planning out the match, rather than a quick glance like a Fatality.

Anyway, long story short... Yes :)

hey
Hey dude, I have some more suggestions.
1. Add quick jump to chapters in the top - to kombos, fatalities and others. Like you wahtc combos while playing and fast switch to view fatality at the end.
2. This might come with your frame data update - but the most important info is if kombo cancels or not, and maybe add block info. On screenshot I added XX(cancels) combo example;
