Best theory so far!Erron Black is Jacqui's mum, after sex change surgery.
They're not? I've had them for like years now lol.I thought GIF's weren't allowed in Signatures?
Too many plot holes. Kotal doesn't have any reason to kidnap Cassie and Jackie. In fact, when he talks with raiden he seems more in-line with the idea of cooperation, and I can't imagine him just throwing to all away so he can snag someone's daughter. Add also that its been shown it takes some decent magical prowess to even use the portal, since the only ones seen activating it are Quan Chi (easily a top tier magic user), the Khans (all of which are pretty up there too), and possibly Shinnok and Shang. Why on earth are you assuming Kotal Kahn is innocent and has no knowledge of Cassie's abduction? There's no reason to assume that.
No, 2 and 3 don't need to be swapped. Yes Erron is there during the speech. He captured Cassie and Jacqui, probably has them stored away somewhere in the palace and is now standing there while Kotal gives his speech.
I imagine they brought it with them through the portal Special forces have into Outworld.
I have no idea what transport is best for remaining undetected in a desert, but I imagine Special Forces army people do.
What do you mean it doesn't explain the hooded people? They're undercover special forces people with Sonya.
I keep calling is Osh-Tekk because for the life of me for some reason I thought that was the clan name, and I couldn't remember the the town name. Thats all.I'm actually really wondering what led you to believe that?
This area doesn't appear to be walled in at all, I don't see why Sonya couldn't just walk into it.
If no one knows where exactly Goro and Mileena are but Kotal and K'Etz could find their base in a days trip I don't think Sonya would have much trouble.
They(the Outworld civilians) do know K'Etz and his men went to the desert.
Also, there was a giant storm cloud in an isolated area with a pillar of lightning shooting directly upward due to rain, and then a giant pillar of sunlight shooting straight down in that same area.
I don't think Sonya is blind.
We don't know what vehicles or animals Sonya and her people rid in on, they could have stolen mounts or used military vehicles for all we know.
There's no reason to assume he does either since we've not seen him interact with Erron since (or before, regarding it). For all we know it could be something Erron did independently. Why on earth are you assuming Kotal Kahn is innocent and has no knowledge of Cassie's abduction? There's no reason to assume that.
My theory was that Erron is a member of the black dragon. That's why Kano will be in the next chapter according to the summary. Erron and the black dragon kidnapped Cassie for Kano. And Kotal's gang has no knowledge of this. We need another cool black dragon character in the game.Thinking back, Erron (at the very least, possibly Kotal and the rest of the gang too) could actually be working with the Black Dragon/Jarek & Tasia. When Cassie goes to take pictures, it's one of Jarek or Tasia who says "Cassie Cage and Jacqui Briggs, it's two-for-one night!" and Erron was on the other side of the portal which we can tell from the photo on Cassie's phone (which technically is a continuity error since she took pictures of behind her and not in front) so them working together could be possible.
Me too and still countingThey're not? I've had them for like years now lol.
You can't say "too many plot holes" and then completely make things up.Too many plot holes. Kotal doesn't have any reason to kidnap Cassie and Jackie. If he did kidnap their daughter, do you think Cassie would just be overlooked by Sonya if they went to the town? Pretty sure she would search the location if she is bothering to scout it as you are insisting. Why trail Kotal when he is leaving alone and it would be easier to just search the castle while he is gone?
They don't have a portal, at least its incredibly unlikely. Even the existance of a second portal generator is surprising to me, and I look a lot into the lore.
Not just undetected, it has to be able to scale walls. Unless you are insisting they knew they would have to scale that wall before even getting there and seeing the location.
There is a problem that if that were the case there would be no reason to even include them as Sonya could easily do this by herself and the plot wouldn't change unless the hoods were important. Here is what I'm thinking... One of the hoods is raiden, who used his kamidogu or his natural foresight to find where Kotal was. Being an elder god, he wouldn't have much trouble teleporting across realms and he is more than capable of bringing people with him. That explains their sudden appearance, it would fluff the plot as maybe Kotal sees this as the final straw in Raiden's psuedo-turning away from their agreement for after the war, brings cage and jax into the story, reveals Erron's true intentions (maybe he is shang or something dumb, idk) and actually provides an incentive for another war to start outside of the outworld civil war.
Even in the Original timeline the Special Forces has developed an anti-Earthrealm invasion division who was runned by Jax, Sonya, Kenshi and Cyrax later on, and they did having technology to travel portals, i'm surprised ppl are calling unlikely that earthrealms are using portals to go through realms, i mean... If The Linkuei can use a similar if not the same technology to travel realms and participate in the MK tournaments, why wouldn't they too? The Shang Tsung Island wasn't on the earthrealm radar, but sonya somehow entered that island.I don't see why it's incredibly unlikely why they should have a portal. I know not everything about story endings are cannon, but at the end of Kenshi's in MK9 they have a portal in special forces. That shows that the idea of Special Forces being able to develop a portal shouldn't be considered as "incredibly unlikely".
I can, because Kotal is interested in co-operation and if he did, it would make no sense for them to be like "we have them, lets never talk about this again.". Leaves a major plot point open that this story would have no reason to leave out.You can't say "too many plot holes" and then completely make things up.
For example, you absolutely can not say Kotal doesn't have any reason to kidnap Cassie. He may well have many reasons.
He's obviously not completely into the idea of cooperation as he breaks his promise to Raiden about using the portal stone and already feels that Raiden has fallen short of his end of the deal.
I don't know what point you're making with the next sentence. He has a portal stone which pretty much anyone can use by the looks of it.

What?? What walls are they scaling now in this vehicle?
How could she just easily do it by herself?
And yes, Cassie would go undetected by Sonya as they have no idea where, in the whole of Outworld, they are keeping Cassie. They could try and inspect the palace and maybe that was the plan before Kotal went to fight Goro. But that may not have been the case as the palace is heavily guarded and there's no guarantee Cassie is being kept there. And no, it wouldn;t be easier to search the palace after Kotal has gone, because everyone else would still be there whereas Kotal is on his own. The easier option is to go after Kotal.
I still don't buy it. Like lets say they can just use portals willy nilly. Why don't they? There is a lot of places in the plot where doing so would prove very useful.-lemme rewatch some parts and I'll get back to you-Even in the Original timeline the Special Forces has developed an anti-Earthrealm invasion division who was runned by Jax, Sonya, Kenshi and Cyrax later on, and they did having technology to travel portals, i'm surprised ppl are calling unlikely that earthrealms are using portals to go through realms, i mean... Sure, here is one:I still don't buy it. Like lets say they can just use portals willy nilly. Why don't they? There is a lot of places in the plot where doing so would prove very useful.-
Watch closely that he Lin Kuei lives on Earthrealm, when Smoke and Kuai Liang traveled to Wastelands in outworld they opened they own portal, yet the portals, there are indeed portals that can lead to an determined area, but there is spots in every realm where multiple lines can be acessed trough portals, its not a fixable place like Shaolin Monks tells, Shao Kahn opened a portal right into Rooftop in the end of MK9.lemme rewatch some parts and I'll get back to you-
To travel portals? Maybe. To make portals? Not likely.
Yeah even in MK9 they are using "a portal to the south" meaning that they can't just open their own I don't think. If they can, its probably not tech thats readily accessible or, for that matter, easily controlled.

No, it's been shown that there isn't complete cooperation from the way Kotal, D'vorah and Erron were treated in Earthrealm. They refused his request, he could well be forcing their hands.I can, because Kotal is interested in co-operation and if he did, it would make no sense for them to be like "we have them, lets never talk about this again.". Leaves a major plot point open that this story would have no reason to leave out.
You've missed my point and I'm disappointed you went for that line of argument. I even said not everything in the endings are canon, but the fact that the writers put that Special Forces have a portal as a small part of that ending, means that it's ridiculous to rule out the possibility of Special Forces having a portal. Not many people have been shown to use them. Only highly powerful beings have been shown to even make a portal. Also if we go by endings, Jade is still alive, Shang ate Shao Khan's soul, and Liu Kang is a corrupt god. Kinda have to take these with a grain of salt. Sheeva owns Australia, if they make no mention of it then I'll be tiffed.
No she doesn't, she's standing on a sand dune when she shoots him.She shot him from on top of the palace, so presumably, the walls of the palace
I actually thought this, real talk!!!!!Plot Twist: Erron Black is Kobra
Crappy way to force it if you ask me. Plus if that's the case, once again, why leave it as just a gaping hole when it would add a lot more to the story? Money says error never even came back to outworld. No, it's been shown that there isn't complete cooperation from the way Kotal, D'vorah and Erron were treated in Earthrealm. Also, from what we know about one of the MKX stages, one shows tarkattan hoards travelling into earthrealm and killing and abducting humans. There are multiple portals that you don't know about.
No she doesn't, she's standing on a sand dune when she shoots him.
No one noticed a huge gaping hole with people walking out? Last I recall those things are loud as hell. Still seems more likely raided ported them in. Also how did they portal to somewhere that even the Khans needed to search for, and likely had been seeking out for quite a while? Lucky guess?Sure, here is one:
Watch closely that he Lin Kuei lives on Earthrealm, when Smoke and Kuai Liang traveled to Wastelands in outworld they opened they own portal, yet the portals, there are indeed portals that can lead to an determined area, but there is spots in every realm where multiple lines can be acessed trough portals, its not a fixable place like Shaolin Monks tells, Shao Kahn opened a portal right into Rooftop in the end of MK9.
This is indeed a spot in earthrealm where a portal can be acessed, a portal in Mortal Kombat is opened, but for the looks of it, no matter where you open one, unless of course you're Quan Chi, there is specific spots where you will come out, and for the looks of it Special Forces controls those spots, it doesn't surprise me if they can open a portal to Outworld as well.
The portal they used when Jax got his arms ripped was opened in earthrealm by the Lin Kuei, Jax was acused of using Tekunin technology in the challenge tower.
Earthrealmers opening portals its not a new thing.
But they haven't left it, they're obviously coming back to it. There are lots of parts of the story that can't be explained at the same time.Crappy way to force it if you ask me. Plus if that's the case, once again, why leave it as just a gaping hole when it would add a lot more to the story? Money says error never even came back to outworld.
I'm just saying that endings say a lot of things. I choose to ignore most of them. Portals are everywhere in out world it seems, and probably because people like Kotal, Shao, and Shang are all beefed as fuck sorcs who can do that.
That's one high dune considering the angle of the shot. I mean a high dune that's at the location where the palace would be. That or where manado and a crap ton of highly trained assassins are.
Erron is behind them, not in front. Your theory doesn't work that he grabs them from outworldBut they haven't left it, they're obviously coming back to it. There are lots of parts of the story that can't be explained at the same time.
But we see him go back through the portal with Kotal and D'vorah, plus he's on the other side of the portal that Cassie and Jacqui jup through. He grabs them from the Outworld side of the portal. If anything, he never goes back to Earthrealm.
It's fine to overlook the overall outcome of the endings (cyber-sub/shao kahn merging etc), but the portal is just a small aside in the story that isn't dependent on Kenshi. I'd bet that Special Forces have a stargate-esque portal into Outworld in MKX. There's certainly no reason to say that it's unlikely that they would have one.
I don't see how he is behind them though, because in every other shot you cannot see him. I know Jacqui says that Cassie is taking a selfie, and that's how it looks with her arms outstretched, but I think she's taking a picture of the inside of the portal, eitherwise you'd be able to see Erron either in the panel where they're jumping in to the portal or where they're running down the alleyErron is behind them, not in front. Your theory doesn't work that he grabs them from outworld
Portal comes out of nowhere, she wouldn't bother running towards it and otherwise she wouldn't have any reason to point the camera forwards. She even states she is taking a picture of their pursuers because they can't outrun them. So I don't think so. Maybe luring them to the portal was the plan, but then again one has to ask who opened it from the other side? I personally still bank on it being the Netherrealm because that would remove any issue with them leaving out huge plot points.I don't see how he is behind them though, because in every other shot you cannot see him.
