Is Kenshi legit that bad now? Also, Baraka just got buffed, and somehow is bottom 3, whereas other people were ranking him at least high B tier - why is that?

Ashrah being worse than Reptile and Sub-Zero got an eyebrow raise from me as well. Everything else I don't necessarily disagree with, which means I'd be just nitpicking subjective things.

Kenshi is awful now. Balanced stance did not get any meaning full buffs so the character is still entirely reliant on sento pressure. The sento timer nerfs made it so by the time he actually gets into sandwich he only gets like 1 or 2 mixes and he doesn't have time to go for any of the jailing sequences he did before. He basically has to go for resummons all the time which hurts his damage since you have to end your stuff early to get oki off a resumon midscreen. Even after he does resummon multiple kameos like Jax, scorp, and Motaro will let you kill same side pressure for free so he doesn't get good offense outside a sandwich for a few seconds. Jax kills any sento on block teams which was his only way of getting sento pressure reliably. The sub team can't go for his optimals anymore because they literally that the entire bar which forces him to go for resummons which just gets killed by kameo. He gets killed in neutral by a majority of the cast.

Baraka buffs weren't that impactful. The install is kind of gimmicky and the overhead changes made it 29 frames which kills all the until it has pre patch. Baraka is also a character that gets killed by Jax and any character that can armor the barrage

What put Shao at #2?
Those 8 characters are all a clear level of more fucked up then the tier below them.
The only thing that kept shao's axeless pressure from being absurd was the fact that he had to commit to ex knee or fatal after the low option. Now he gets a plus jailing launcher off the low. Character was already absurd and he got giga buffed for no reason. Also the tremor buffs really help him

What in the FRIGGITY-FUCK is Reiko doing better than everyone in the tier below him? Maaaaan.

I really respect you as a player and I tend to agree with your opinions, but 8 S tier characters? That's crazy work.

What put Shao at #2?

The tremor timing of ambush assists fixes make shao and temor armor breaking htbs, that used to be very strict and akward pretty smooth now.
Even the hard optimal version is now consistent.


Additonally new timings have been introduced that where not possible before, to further mess with yout opponent.

I am in no way a pro player but Personally i always tought shao tremor was slept on especially so afrer tremor 100 hp gain buff, but now after these tremor ambush fixes faster recharge and shao new cancle, the team is like total bonkers, you have armor breaking 80% htbs, armored launcher with termor ground pound or even mettallic ball, converting from overhead and low in axe form, cancel axless pressure,extending axless form, axless routes thqt go into the htbs etc.

Im very curipuse to see how this team would stack up in a competative enviorment piloted by a pro player who uses the team to its full potential.

That damage sounds a bit high for reiko yes,
Using jax the highest i get after the buffs is 40% for 1 bar and 1 kameo and the end of it is very technical, landing 121xxx air comabd grab at the end is very strict.

F124, 3xxbf3up, d1xxEX slide, 3xx(jax grab input)slide, neutral jump delayed 121xxAir command grab.

Or. 21xxbf3up, 1xxbf3up, d1xxEX slide, 3xx(jax grab input)slide netural jump delayed 121xxAir command grab.

If i were to guess, the route prbably involves tremor and after an intial launch wither with EX slide or f124, you probably go 121xxAir comand grab and then use tremor ambush to continue.

Edit: yeah just labbed it, any button into EX knee goes to 121xx air commanx grab, then tremor ground pund ambush and then again 121 air command grab, damage is 41- 45 percent, f214 allows it meterless.

I don't know exactly what the route is I just know I've been hit by it a bunch. It's like the knee juggled into the running ex command grab into tremor ambush up punch

It's assumed you're using the most optimal kameo? Like, since the beginning. Kameo Tierlists are kinda dumb.
Eh as the game has gotten better it's mattered a bit more, but that's also why matchup charts tend to be a thing. The Sub kameo alone drastically changes matchups.

Right, so it's assumed you're always using the optimal kameo for the MU. So, Kameo tierlists are kinda dumb.

Shocking that I had to say that twice, but alas.
