It's Edenia, magic seems common, so you don't think anything of it. You're intrigued, she comes closer...and closer. She's beautiful, the moonlight hitting her just right. Then you remove her veil and the truth is revealed, she's a grotesque, bloodthirsty monster and she bites TF out ya neck and you're DEAD. Dead because you were too horned up and tried to get with the wrong monster!!!

Like she's so unique in that way she doesn't need beautiful lips. The story, the idea, the aesthetic it all writes itself WITH that disgusting mouth. It adds so much character to her that I feel she loses with the lips.

yep, you got it perfectly right the idea behind Mileena ..... that is exactly how her character persona should work out regarding into MK lore. :D

This, imo, is the best Mileena look. It might even by my favorite and if Mileena has this in MK11 I'll be SO happy. Lemme get just enough of a peek of those terrifying teeth through the fabric of her veil, the ponytail. Everything about this is just perfecttttt.

I hated her face in Deception. She looked like a creature from Alone in the Dark 1. Her teeth were so low poly.

This one has a lot more potential.

I find all the art that depicts Rain as buddy-buddy with Mileena and Tanya kinda funny considering what happened in MKX.

He practically snitched on himself and told D'Vorah that he was plotting behind Mileena's back. He advised her to steal the amulet, knowing it would kill her a bit each time she used it. This dude had a whole plan to get the throne.

And in Tanya's MKX ending, she and Rain were on the run from Kotal after D'Vorah killed Mileena and then she ratted his ass out to Kotal so that she could live while Kotal Kahn burned Rain alive.

But in the current timeline I'd say either Kotal found and killed Tanya, Rain killed Tanya, or Tanya is still in hiding somewhere.

Orrrrr maybe Kotal killed Tanya AND Rain after D'Vorah killed Mileena, and Kronika pulled this Rain from the past. Just like Mileena.

I guess we'll find out soon enough!

I think D'Vorah has killed more canon characters than any other MK character at this point.

Yeah even in her MKX ending, Tanya was upset about Mileena's death because she truly believed Mileena would free Edenia and with Mileena dead, that idea was kinda crushed. You'd figure Tanya would be the snake, but it was really Rain all along.

We love a loyal girlfriend!

For intro dialogue, I never take that as canon until we see it in Story Mode, but it's certainly possible. Remember D'Vorah claims she killed King Jarrod in an intro dialogue, but it was actually Shao Kahn/Sindel.

And yeah, I don't think Mileena had the ability to actually demerge Edenia from Outworld, but I believe she would have let the Edenians be free under her. Considering how she was getting betrayed all the time, and this was bugging the snot out of her, I think she was actually learning the value of true allies.

D'Vorah never actually claimed or confirmed that she killed Jerrod or Ferra/Tor.

-"You killed Jerrod D'Vorah?"
-"This one killed many on Shao Kahn's behalf!"

This does not confirm that she killed Jarrod specifically.

-"Have you seen Ferra/Tor D'Vorah?"
-"Only their corpses Kollector!"

Again, this doesn't mean that SHE killed them maybe she just saw their dead bodies.

I recall in one intro with Kitana, D'Vorah specifically says that "This one killed Jerrod for Shao Kahn." Of course we know that she didn't.

yeah yeah, after what D'vorah did , killing Baraka, Mileena and Scorpion, I think in MK12 , it's time for .... payback time !

so, hoping for someone in MK12 story mode, to come up and shred D'vorah into little pieces , hehe :D

by preference, if Baraka and Mileena team up and, skin her alive and rip her flesh to the bone, in the next game, hehe !

and maybe Scorpion come up, and burn what they left of her ..... :p

Okay but Dvorah is known to say things to agitate others so that dialogue could be canon and she was she just saying low blow comments.

That bug bitch will get what's coming for her in MK12 just wait and see;) For now I'll use her as my punching bag on practise mode with Mileena to get some of my aggression towards her released.

Excuse your mouth. We stan a non-jobber, actually effective villain queen. Don't be jealous just cause jobbers like Reptile, Ermac, Kano, Sheeva, Erron, etc. can't get shit done.

I do agree on the retroactive relevance part, though. Watching D'Vorah show up in the MKX flashback to pre-MK1 era with Raiden/Liu/Lao was top 3 dumb shit in a game story full of dumb shit. I can excuse her riling people up in intros as intros are often just little dashes of flavor with minimal need to be canon, but deciding "she's been doing important shit the whole time!" is beyond dumb.

Late to the party here, but thought I'd throw in my 2 cents on the Mileena mouth issue. I am 100% fine with the design MK11 went with. It is very much a klassic Mileena, and fits the rest of the games kind of legacy flavor. But I am a little disappointed they ditched the MKX style.

To me, the MKX design worked really well, as it was a MORE disturbing image than this purely Tarkatan look. Yeah, with he mouth closed it allowed Mileena to be a bit pretty (which helps sell the idea that anyone would believe she was actually Kitana's sister, I will never understand how anybody is fooled by that ploy otherwise), but then she opens her mouth. Her whole jaw unhinges in defiance of the anatomical expectations her face creates, and then you get that monstrous maw of teeth to complete the look.

Maybe I'm in the minority with that one. But despite my relative disappoint in the design choice, I'm still pumped for Mileena's return. I hope they give her some seriously spicy dialogue for her intros.
