While I liked Mileena having lips in MKX, I think a lot of people only want the lips because it adds to her "pretty" factor. Like, y'all do know that this chick is meant to be horribly grotesque underneath the mask, right? Having lucious, kissable lips doesn't really scream "terror" to me. Like, yeah she still had sharp teeth in MKX, and I like that design a lot. But I think ppl might be overreacting a little because of Mileena's current mouth. I love it, like, a lot. Like I want her to put that mask on and keep it on lol. But, I also don't, because I love the look of the teeth. If that makes sense.

She looks genuinely unsettling to look at without her mask and I feel like that should be the case. The only time I felt unsettled by Mileena in MKX is in the costume viewer where you'd click the button and she'd do a taunt. The sight of her mouth opening super wide as she went to bite down on the air was super sick. But other than that, she looked too normal...and she didn't look Tarkatan at all.

But I look at her mouth in MK11 and think "I see Kitana, but I also definitely see a Tarkatan there." I think she looks perfect. And her hair has grown on me. But I'm excited to see what kind of masks and costumes she has.

The lips look was really unique. I can't help but look at the "new" design and feel like its a step backwards. She has a generic monster mouth again instead of something entirely her own. Which I get, since this is supposed to be MK9 Mileena.

Jaysus lads, we have her coming to the game who the fuck cares if she has lips or not (my guess is most mad about it came into mk at mkx) her look now more updated version of her mk2-9 face. Much more true to the character

Costume wise hope there a maskless option and be very very nice if some form of klassic skin that the other chars had theres in diff packs already

I don’t mind the return to the old mouth. The bangs aren’t great but that just nitpicking Lolol. I’m hoping the mask gear comes with a MKX mouth option and that the glove gear also comes with an option with super long/sharp fingernails.

While I did like her MKX face, her new face looks great and is in no way a downgrade. I love both in the end.

Plus, I personally think they struck a nice balance between both her human and Tarkatan side this time around.

I really hope her b12 string from MKX comes back. It'll be god like in the neutral

I know its rare that they bring strings back but they did with Raiden so there's a chance I guess. I really want b12 into bite again, I loved that string and even more so the brutality from it.

RIGHT. Like do Twitter Mileena stans not realize how fckn stupid it makes us all look when we spent almost 2 years begging for a character, she finally gets in and then some of us hoes are like "You ruined her her give her lips." LIKE JUST STOP SPEAKING AND PUT A MASK ON HER PLEAAAAAAASE. It makes me cringe so bad like can we please just be grateful that the character is in at all.

yep, the old classic mouth is the best option ever .... the lips stuff, was done for only one game, MKX, as an attempt from NRS, to try something different with the character, and to be used on that "kiss of death" scene with D'vorah, but, the classic tarkatan shark-like jaws, with the grotesque creepy look , that we have now in MK11, is way way much better than the goofy lip stuff from MKX .... those teeth coming from Mileena's cheeks were weird to watch, hehe .... kinda out of place, IMO.

this mouth layout here, in MK11, fits perfectly for Mileena's proposal as character : a ferocious girl that will tear your apart and rip your face off with these sharp and monstrous teeth , hehe .... this mouth is way more intimidating, much more menancing now !

fuck yeah, those assholes are crying babies and stupid fucking assholes idiots that will keep whinning until their last breath ..... we already have what we want and we should be very very grateful with Ed Boon for this, so, those motherfuckers stans should stop bothering and harrassing Ed right now !

they make us, true and serious fans of the character (Mileena), to look bad on acount of this, so, that insanity on Ed's Twitter should stop ..... since the moment he (Ed Boon) gave what every Mileena fan wanted, that is Mileena being now in the game, nothing anymore justify they claiming for everything or anything more regarding the character, so ....

I don't think it's that rare. MK9 to MKX Mileena had some familiar strings.

Exactly. NRS just gave us 2 of the most highly requested MK characters of all time and it's the cheapest pack we've gotten yet for $15!! Like...can we not just sit down for a second and be grateful??

Like, they did NOT need to give us Mileena. They really didn't lol. After how the toxic some fans acted, I would understand why they wouldn't give her to us. But they did. They went out of their way to finish this character and release her because they saw genuine fans beyond the toxic ones and here she is.

Imagine doing the fans a kindness, giving them exactly what they wanted in the form of this character...but they complain because she doesn't have lips. A design choice that she had for ONE game strictly because the devs wanted to show off facial animations lol.

Like this mouth FITS her as a character. She's mixed with Tarkatan. Literally every tarkatan has a jaw JUST like this. It makes no sense from a design OR lore standpoint for Mileena to go from these teeth to having lips. Her MKX teeth looked nothing like a Tarkatan. If I didn't know the MK lore, I wouldn't look at Mileena in MKX and think "Oh yeah she's part Baraka." Because their teeth are completely different...it just made no sense. These teeth work so well because she genuinely looks like a horrible mixture of a beautiful Edenian, Kitana, and a monstrous creature, Tarkatan. I shouldn't be able to look at Mileena and think "Oh yeah, I could definitely kiss that lady." lol.

Like, sure the lips make her unique, but she IS unique with these teeth and her visage in general. She's a beautiful Edenian, until you take the mask off...and realize she's a monster. That's unique to me.

I just hate the idea that we begged so damn hard for this character, they finally gave her to us, and people still have the need to complain and beg. It's just cringe. Like...we GOT Mileena. She's finally coming. But her not having lips is a deal breaker apparently and ruins the character for some. Even tho Mileena didn't have lips for how many games? Like c'mon.

They just want the MKX design because she's pretty. Like, even with her mask off Mileena looks like a model. And honestly she shouldn't. That's not Mileena. She's not a model. She's a monster clone. Like they want MKX design because it's cute.

This, imo, is the best Mileena look. It might even by my favorite and if Mileena has this in MK11 I'll be SO happy. Lemme get just enough of a peek of those terrifying teeth through the fabric of her veil, the ponytail. Everything about this is just perfecttttt.

yep, Mileena always had the full tarkatan mouth in ALL MK games released so far since MK2 in 1993 but MKX ..... so, only because in just one game only they decided to change the art direction for her look design , that alone does not mean that the lips are the way to go with her aesthetic form , no !

fuck those out of place lips in MKX, very happy that stuff went away .... this MK11 design look is perfect for her, for Christ sake !

honestly, i much prefer her mkx design. she looks beautiful and deadly at the same time. i'm glad we have her back in mk11 regardless of how her mouth looks. it's mileena!

Like god damn, this picture is perfect. SHE LOOKS SO DAMN SCARY!!! Like, she looks like something straight out of a horror movie and I can't wait to see more. The claws, her teeth, her tongue....I just can't get enough of it. Then the detail of the teeth that just make it even better. Not only does she look terrifying (to me) but she looks like a mix of Kitana and Baraka. I cover her mouth, I see Kitana, I cover her eyes, I see Baraka.

Like, c'mon. How can a Mileena fan look at that and not think that's how it should be I just don't get itttttttt. Like I'm sure we'll get the MKX lips in some form, maybe. But this is the definitive Mileena look for me. I just can't complain. She needs to look horrendous she doesn't need to be dolled up. She honestly shouldn't be. I just feel like people will complain about the Sindel Retcon one minute, but then wanna make Mileena beautiful the next like it doesn't add up. But I guess I shouldnt' speak on that because I love the Sindel retcon lol.

finally , now in MK11 , we have Mileena and Kitana looking very look-alike, as should always have been , since Mily is a clone, a twin of Kitana ..... in MK9 and MKX, they are not that equal on the phisycal point, now, they got it right ....

In MK11, Mileena is an identical clone twin of Kitana, mixed with race features of Tarkatan, as she must be , as her original idea, source material and bio let us know

the whole ideia is, Mileena is a very beautiful, sexy and misterious babe girl , while using her mask and/or veil ..... once they are taken of, she just turns on the "predator mode" and changes into a feral beast, and her tarkatan side just dominates, ha !

So , in MK11, she is half-Kitana, half-Tarkatan, perfectly balanced, hehe !

That's the idea I love about Mileena. Like, as a solo cinematic I just have the thought of it being dark, you see the silhouette of a veiled woman. Eyes glowing in the dark. It's Edenia, magic seems common, so you don't think anything of it. You're intrigued, she comes closer...and closer. She's beautiful, the moonlight hitting her just right. Then you remove her veil and the truth is revealed, she's a grotesque, bloodthirsty monster and she bites TF out ya neck and you're DEAD. Dead because you were too horned up and tried to get with the wrong monster!!!

Like she's so unique in that way she doesn't need beautiful lips. The story, the idea, the aesthetic it all writes itself WITH that disgusting mouth. It adds so much character to her that I feel she loses with the lips.
