Earlier today on Twitter, Major League Gaming's Executive Vice President of Properties Adam Apicella announced to the world that Injustice: Gods Among Us is one of two fighting games being added to MLG's Anaheim event. This is widely welcome news for a community that has been waiting for this opportunity since Mortal Kombat's 9 original 2012 run ended.

Anyone who was around for MK9's tenure on the Pro Circuit will remember a year filled with an abundance of hype, surprises, great matches and the emergence of several new major tournament threats from event to event. Being back at MLG places Injustice on the bigger stage alongside corporate sponsorship for the first time, and may potentially help introduce a wider audience to the game and its community.

The Anaheim event is set for June 20th-June 22nd; a week before Orlando's CEO tournament. The competition will seat 128 entrants, and t
he prize pool consists of $7,500 in cash with no word yet on how it will be divided. In addition, one more unnanounced fighting game title is currently in the works:
