Dude, if you're complaining about leaving your hometown in a commuter county such as Los Angeles, you're in deep trouble. Traveling 20 miles to participate in anything in Los Angeles would be a godsend in my eyes.
I just don't get it, you talk about saving up for majors, any of which would be much farther than 20 miles from you (that includes SCR and WCW); yet you have a hard time taking up an opportunity that would cost you $10 maximum (that includes pot entry, public transportation, and maybe even a snack or two).
Instead of aiming for an Injustice renaissance in Long Beach and having your first offline experience be at a costly major, why not start small and hang with the locals who have already done what you're trying do? I promise you that you'd have fun and be much more prepared when the time comes for you to attend your first major!
