Where is the Long Beach players at!! Tired of being called a scrub? Don't think there is no one in Long Beach who you can play Injustice with? Lets find a place where we can all meet. If we can't agree, Im thinking we could start meeting up at Cal State Long Beach if you are interested although there may be a fee. Even if you never played Injustice, I will teach you so you can learn from the best of Long Beach. Lets just get together and have a good time. I will hold the fort until then, Im gonna show that Long Beach is King when it comes to Injustice. When I go to a tourney I gonna start wreaking lives, but I don't want the lone rep. So lets go Beach!!!!

I fully agree with both of you and as much as I would like to go, I just don't have the funds to travel out of Long Beach due to my situation. I need to save that money for majors. So If I can start something in Long Beach, then that would be great. Just for my knowledge though, whens the next time something is happening 20 miles away.

I totally picked up @EGP Wonder_Chef up from Pasadena, then took @Awesomo and @GuamoKun to Bell Gardens, and then @Dja_Homies home to South Central, and back to Pasadena to drop Chef home and I charged them all $0 in gas.

I'm sorry, what do you mean you don't have the funds? I offered you a ride before.

It's just a waste of time now tbh. It's obvious he won't go. We should just focus on people who CAN actually make it and potentially grow our scene

Is that a challenge? And you should have left out the potentially grow our scene part out cause you don't actually have to go over to anywhere to grow the scene, just saying if you are talking about the Injustice scene.

You know, I would kill to have a scene where I live. I literally know of 1 other person in my city that actively plays and he still hasn't made any effort to get together with me for games despite asking him like 5 times lol. Be thankful you have SOMETHING near you. Even offering to give you rides just to help out...

I don't get what you mean. Of course you have to go to events to help grow the scene...

I mean that you can post videos, share tech, have discussions, invite people to play the game, share setups, etc. Most importantly the first thing you got to worry about is getting people to PLAY the GAME first, before you can get people to go to a tourney. Everyday i make it a point to talk with someone new at my school about Injustice and fighting games in general, and I try to post something helpful everyday that maybe someone can learn from or at least discuss. You need new players to come otherwise the game becomes stagnate.

Trust me I am very thankful. Sorry if I come out as otherwise. i do know how it is not having no one to play with. Till this day i still can't find anyone who know what Super Dragonball Z is....

why do you not just play with the people who already have a scene near you?
Because I don't like going out alone to a area I never been in, especially when I have to spen money I dont really have to get there, buy hey if someone wants to take me, like a said before I would be willing to go. I still need to learn some matchup experience, and TEACH some matchup experience hahaha. #Shazamtop10

You know, we had a tournament tonight less than 20 miles from where you are.
Not to mention the other 4 gatherings we've had since around Thanksgiving, which he was all invited to.

We legit had DBZ Budokai 1 & 3 at a casual one week ago. Plenty of people would have played that with you. Hell ye can name any fighter, and I'm sure 3-4 people will play with you no matter which game it is. We all love fighters, and we're all cool dudes. Ye just too afraid to come outside your house, because there's a small chance ye would catch a cold, or get mugged in oh so scary Los Angeles.

What he means by that is that he's an ONLINE fighter, that we should stop wasting our time inviting him to casuals 'cause to play people he doesn't have to travel, he can do it from the comfort of his home. God bless the internet.

Dude, if you're complaining about leaving your hometown in a commuter county such as Los Angeles, you're in deep trouble. Traveling 20 miles to participate in anything in Los Angeles would be a godsend in my eyes.

I just don't get it, you talk about saving up for majors, any of which would be much farther than 20 miles from you (that includes SCR and WCW); yet you have a hard time taking up an opportunity that would cost you $10 maximum (that includes pot entry, public transportation, and maybe even a snack or two).

Instead of aiming for an Injustice renaissance in Long Beach and having your first offline experience be at a costly major, why not start small and hang with the locals who have already done what you're trying do? I promise you that you'd have fun and be much more prepared when the time comes for you to attend your first major!

This exactly. Literally the most I spent was 7-8 dollars. 3.50 for the transportation (an hour trip like yours...) And pot entry. I got a free ride back because they guys are an awesome group. Just show up first with transportation which is simpler for you since you just take the train. And I'm sure they'll give you a ride back.
