If he were to be unbanned it couldn't be instant. That's just not fair. It would have to be like in X time Kratos will be tournament legal at whatever event onward. At least give people a chance to get to know him.

I could see unbanning him from exhibitions, streamed casuals, money matches, prize fights, ect, where players know in advance he may be there and agree to it before or do not really care. From there maybe he could eventually be tourney legal, but there would have to be significant interest and a kind of slowly easing him in process. Again, it wouldn't be fair if it was instant.

Kratos is not overpowered at all. You guys are really putting the parry like it's the shit. True is he remains quite unexplored and could be interesting to have him. Plus, if he really goes 5-5 that would be like extreme hype.

I could see the downfall of cage though if some top players learned kratos. that has seriously gotta be one of the three really horrible matchups for cage. seriously kratos is so annoying to fight not like hes super hard to fight but really annoying. you gotta remember he's never been patched because of the fact that hes not a tournament legal character so pretty much all of his broken ass shit still remains (retarded damage) (infinite) (wack hitbox). he's still garbage as a character overall but could change the game, not necessarily in a good way though or in a bad way.

I think if Kratos gets unbanned you'll definitely be seeing him at tournaments. He seems like a pretty mid tier character overall, around the same rank as Mileena and Sub I would guess. But he also seems like a solid counterpick to characters like Cage & Kabal, potentially is a really good counterzoner, and takes 100% of your life in the corner without meter. There's probably still a lot to discover about him as well since the majority of the community has never touched him.

However none of those are reasons to keep him banned imo since he definitely has problems and is not in an S++ tier way above everyone else. Like Scar said the only real issue is that he is ps3 exclusive. I kinda hope he gets unbanned though because he's a really fun character to watch.

yes if you seen me play vs a kratos offline you will see how bad he is all he has is damage and no footsies his arrows are good but they can but not that great he's just plain out bad i've seen it i've played against played with him experimented with him its just plain out bad for kratos in the tourny world

i'm extremely bias against kratos he's just so bad. I hate him he's so bad.

Such as Kabal having a 5-5 matchup and breathing a bit of extra life into MK9 whenever someone picks him. I'm not entirely sure what others there might be.

Not really, as Kratos does have good and bad matchups like most fighters (quite a few 3-7 MUs too). To say Kratos is outright broken would be ignoring Cyrax's bullshit; he doesn't have crazy things like Cyrax, but he does have his own bag of dirty tricks.

yeah it is hard to do that. I'm ps3 and i've known for a while how bad kratos is. Remember when players use to think csz was good? it will be the same with kratos. If xbox and ps3 both had kratos you would see what I'm seeing. He's just bad. If the option of asking to play kratos was available I would say HELL YEAH!! give me that free W

The "retarded damage" is because Kratos is a tank-type of character: slow like a turtle stuck in quicksand, but hits very hard.
He had an infinite with 2xxHDC~Infinity, but that was patched out, I believe. Though he has another infinite with 2,1xxHDC~Infinity in the corner, it is a "to the frame" type of infinite, similar to Kabal's 2xxNDC block infinite.
Kratos' posture causes the wack hurtbox.

An invalid reason to keep a character banned, but there are better arguments that promote Kratos remaining an illegal fighter.

My request for a summary on how you play him (or how he should be played) still stands; until that is done, I have no reason to listen to the opinion of one who heavily dislikes Kratos, despite how much he claims to "understand" Kratos and know how bad he is.

I, for one, like Kratos as a character and enjoy his playstyle; as @STB Espio taught me, a player is more likely to do well with a character he likes, and enjoys playing as.
