Okay so AA throw seems a little better, I'm testing it against sonya's obnoxious jump 1 and it seems to beat it out where prepatch it would have lost. Still got to do it earlier than I would like but I'll take it.

I feel like Scorpions jump kick is one of the bigger air threats. Seems to beat a lot of air to air moves out. And even some legit anti airs.

Work in progress. From memory kotals aa seems to beat some jump ins a frame later than they would pre-patch. but I'm not one to trust intuition.

If my pc versions of mkx doesn't freeze I'll test the difference on the AA and see what the exact difference is. PC version is good for something :DOGE

Does it go through air attacks now, or can jump ins still hit KK?
Talking about aa throw? If you don't do it early enough it can still get snuffed. However I think it works better a few frames later the pre patch throw. I'm going to test the pre-patch kotal out

his combo damage is pretty much the same due to scaling but his grab is soo good, mm

edit: nevermind, he gets 45% off an antiair now. hot damn

114~totem is probably at least +3 now. hitting them as fast as I can, they barely get off the ground before getting knocked out of it.

it's also good to know that if they get caught jumping by D1 you can hitconfirm it into 39% meterless if you put up the crystal totem. (might whiff at the lowest point possible of the jump, but otherwise this works) d1, f2 f2, b14~air grab. if you hit them really low then do d1 f1b2 b14~air grab for 30% instead



Lots of his combos do more damage, F1B2 notably.
yeah i noticed that after i posted, i was doing 114 and f2 which seem to scale them more appropriately

Okay so difference I noticed, test with scorpions forward jump 1.

Pre-patch kotal at far range will trade with jump kick. The inital hit will knock scorpions out of the air but kotal still gets kicked, ps4 version kotal wins in a similar situation. Note scorpions jump 1 still has fast startup so using aa throw against it at closer ranges still sucks because you can't react fast enough, so it seems at ranges or situations where KK would previously trade, he now wins.

Needs more testing though.

btw soul scorch is a lot better now, abuse it for level 1 + 2 chokes because you get frame advantage off of 114, a chunk of meter and a guessing game

if you wanna give up L3 then you get a massive chunk of meter, i'd say use it if you need armor/breaker soon

Blood Totem is still funked up with the meter drain property but at the very least the opponent is getting -less- meter off of the stuff that didn't work before

After checking kotal new buffs more closely I realized that they make no difference. Kotal Khan that is not War God is still crap and will remain so forever it seems.

As im in the Kahn threads im seeing your name very constant.
Whats the learning curve for Blood God?
I want to play more than just War God.
Seems hes a bit better now.

Blood God is probably the easiest to get the hang of since he's very barebones, most of his variation specific curves comes from keeping track of totems and knowing which one to use

outside of that anything you learned in War or Sun will carry over to Blood

Outside his mixup options. Why isnt there a living guide for Kahn? Seems like hes got some options. But its rough going through all the threads to find whats what.
