I played the original games in the arcades. It was funny, tho. I was like 15 back then and there was an age limit of 18 to enter. But by the time I got 18 KI2 came out, the age limit had increased to 21. It didn't matter, me and my friend snuck in when the door guard was away. When we got thrown out, we had this magazine that had all the special moves and combostuff in there and we were outside studying it until the doorguard left again. Good times. We were nearly worshiping that arcade cabinet and we played the game to death on SNES.

And when I turned 21, the arcades became more or less extinct.

I only played it on snes... in Italy, the arcades died in the 80s

Well i guess the creators of this site like killer instinct and imo you cant really point a finger at them for liking this game and supporting it on their own site. Its not like they drop injustice or mk by doing this...

You're right, didn't want to sound so harsh... but I'm still very surprised about this much enthusiasm around the game

The series has a lot of fans that have been waiting 17 years for the next KI. Of course people are going to be hyped. It seems like the developers are trying to fix the things that were wrong with the old games too, which only adds to the excitement.

I'd like to know how many TYM users REALLY played the old KI games...

I did. When KI first came out it was a game quite ahead of it's time. But I never thought it really had the depth of other fighters, though Eyedoll was an awesome boss.
