Killer Instinct, "big news for Evo. But there is some stuff planned sooner as well." - FilthieRich

For the army of fans that have been resurrected from the last 17 years of waiting... more news is on the way for our beloved Killer Instinct. As mentioned before, Glacius will be playable at EVO as well as a new character said to be revealed. However, it seems there is some news to be had soon as FilthieRich of Double Helix Games has made mention on twitter. When asked when we'll get more news... the simply response was "big news for Evo. But there is some stuff planned sooner as well".

Dropping Combos like a MotherFucker!
I remember the original KI. I thought the characters were uninspired then, and I think they are now.

...is niche than it's cool? Too many people eager to show love for an old game reboot made by an untested developer on a questionable console, at the same time always ready to bash on NRS Injustice.
I was happy to hear of KI return, but now I'm tired of all this KI craziness

Well i guess the creators of this site like killer instinct and imo you cant really point a finger at them for liking this game and supporting it on their own site. Its not like they drop injustice or mk by doing this...

I remember the 1st day KI was put in my local Arcade. It literally took the crowds away from SF2 AND MK2. Eventually the hardcore players from both games would go back to play MK2 and SF2 but KI pretty much took over the arcade when it was released. The game is mad hype.

I don't understand how someone can enjoy KI, the combos are boring looking and they last for days, with marvel they can look creative despite lasting a bit (Althought not as long as KI combos)

Well its because ppl have different taste. IMO i think the combos in KI look alot cooler then in marvel. But thats just my opinion and i wouldnt be suprised if not everyone has the same opinion. ;)

im only 20 and i played KI Riptor was my shit i never played it on a hardcore level with ultra combos and shit but i didnt know the fatalities for old sega genesis mk games and i played them when i was little even us younger people can appreciate the sentiment of bringin back a big name in fighters

Yeah im aware of that, its just like with music, you dont have to be a teenager at the time a band did concerts to apreciate their music. Its a concept some ppl dont seem to understand.
I think if i never heard of KI, and this new KI is the first thing ive seen about, i would still be hype.

Sorry I can't agree with that(combos in KI being boring), but I do agree that this site shouldn't be promoting a non NRS game.

I played the original games in the arcades. It was funny, tho. I was like 15 back then and there was an age limit of 18 to enter. But by the time I got 18 KI2 came out, the age limit had increased to 21. It didn't matter, me and my friend snuck in when the door guard was away. When we got thrown out, we had this magazine that had all the special moves and combostuff in there and we were outside studying it until the doorguard left again. Good times. We were nearly worshiping that arcade cabinet and we played the game to death on SNES.

And when I turned 21, the arcades became more or less extinct.
