Kid buu combo thread

haha thanks again i realised what i did wrong ... i feel really stupid
M does 2 hit , i was canceling into jump after the first hit that's why no matter what i did i couldn't land the full combo ><

Added 2 corner assist combos, trying to make buu trunks gohan team work

these 2 combos are nothing crazy, just a start. hopefuly i can figure out more stuff and post when i do

It's all so very confusing.
Yeah the ball bounce loops are nice but a smart opponent can hurt you for it. You can also.just drop and empty low them, but if they know what you're doing, it's risky. There is the mindgame of just not doing anything and blocking , but you can't always punish the 2h after and then it's just back to neutral.. it's super powerful, and at low levels is essentially an infinite because.you can land a L after the falling heavy and loop back in to the same thing again... But a GOOD opponent will play the mindgame with you. Large stature opponents like Nappa or Cell are much harder to run this on. I'm also pretty sure it can be fuzzied.

Also, fun trick, vs small opponents, if you read a 2h coming, super dash. The dash has that little hop startup and it causes the 2h to whiff from small characters. You have to get the timing write though

Still enormously strong and any Kid players who don't know about this need.to look into it.

its legible at least now, thanks. Some good stuff in there too. I got him mid, what position you running him?

But people usually don't throw raw 2H , in fact they're mostly doing it when they think you're going to SD

that's my main issue with this game i have trouble figuring out what do to with the assist , i have trouble using them as starter combo , for extended combo , and even to make move safe. my mind is too focused on 1v1 i guess

Im actually in the same boat as you. The assists in this game seem to be very good like vegetas or beams, or very bad. I dont feel like picking someone up only because the assist, so... here i am trying to grind stuff out.

Also no problem, i use to do same thing when mk9 came out but forgot the password to that account. Its been a while since a game that has me trying to contribute came out.

You can just assist to simply open up your opponent and combo them from there.

My team is Kid Buu (Point) Nappa (mid) Vegeta (anchor)

Each are strong individually, with Kid Buu having the weaking health BUT the best offensive pressure. Before you can even THINK about using your assists to extend combos, learn to utilize your assist to help your neutral game. Because all those combos aint't shit if you can't land a hit. OOOOOO imma coin that ;)

Yeah, but what I mean is Kid's ball pressure and reset scenario. 2h can beat him out clean if he goes for a falling H after ball, and I think it beats lights as well but not 100% on that. So if you run into someone who knows to 2h your Ball mix if you read it you can SD it, which is weird since usually it's the answer for SD, but in this instance the timing just doesnt work out. A lot of people don't know how to beat his ball pressure yet, but some do and more are learning.

Or u can block and punish their DH
I usually check them with ball and block a few times to see how they react before going for the falling H

If thats the case, the air ki blast links into falling H/L into a combo. I tried testing this in training but i have no idea how to unless i play real time, and my time was really limited last night.

Yes, 2H is only invincible to airborne attacks, not projectiles. It's one of the ways to beat people that just sit and mash 2H hoping for a lucky hit.
This is obviously very character dependent so you'll need to test around it coz the reward might be not worth the risk of eating a 2H.

Just wondering what everybodys go to combos are?

Im using

2MM-JC-LML-2H-SD-LML-2H-JC-LLS-236L+M 4425DMG

it generates the bar needed for the lvl 1 at the end so you can do it even when your at zero bar, also corner carry is very good

I use an assist after to keep pressure going

These are my solo combos so far with Kid Buu. Notations included and no assists to leave room for your own experiments with your own teams. I'm really liking some Buu I might have to figure out a solid team with him on it
