Yeah I don't want to fire up the lab at this point or else I'd be late for work.

I understand why they didn't give us permarocket but damn that woulda been amazing. I'd probably still use it but more as a landmine than anything.
It's kind of a good thing they didn't. Having the ability to hold 3 indefinitely until I want to blow it up would make playing the game a pain in the ass since I'm a pad player. If I used a stick, it would probably be much easier to do.

I use stick so yeah, kinda feelin' smug right about now.

For real tho holding the rocket is still an amazing tool either offensively or defensively with the simili earthshaker you found.

Just sucks that it's meter dependent. Could you imagine what it would be like if you could delay the explosion for up to 3 seconds on a regular ground rocket? ommmgggg DAT NERF BAT WOULD BE SWINGING, YO. :DOGE

Honestly though I can't fathom any use other than breaker/armor for her meter, but I'm not a Full Auto head now. In HT it's pretty much use it to charge to level 2 or armor through shit, so having an option is nice, and meter builds kind of nicely too.

In Shotgun I don't use meter besides breakers/armour/brutalities, in Full Auto I use it to mix up my zoning. I'll keep throwing out DF2 and DB2 to mess with them then mess with them a hell of a lot more by randomly MBing DF2 ehehehehehehehe.

I like Jacqui a lot and think she's a very decent character, though I do have a couple of things that I'd like and I'd have nothing more I'd even think of changing about her. I'm not asking for these by the way I'm just saying I'd like them because they'd suit me a little more as a player. Two things and two things only and they're hypotheticals....in fact they're not even hypotheticals they're just ideas:

Make Low Shotgun a little faster, that way it can really get it's full use as a footsie tool, whiff punisher, whatever and it would make conversions a lot easier/more consistent too.
Make her High Tech charge faster, a whole second is a bit extreme lol. I mean I get why they're starting with it being too slow rather than too fast but 60 frames? Batgirls was 36 and it was a bit too slow so having a 60 frame version with Jacqui is kinda funny :rolleyes:

That's it, that's all I would even think of suggesting (yet I'm not even suggesting them, would you look at that?) and even then she's still solid enough as a character that those changes probably aren't even necessary but I'd like them :)

I'd like b2 and b33 to be cancelable on block. It limits her pressure and mix up game the way it is now.

Keeps it "safe".. I often end up in pressure and really can't do anything after...

If i had he option to do a low missile after over head, or a QB charge or run cancel , or low shot gun etc etc.... I like options ..

Plus in the corner if you do a b2 you can combo with out canceling and when u do a b33 hit confiming isnt to difficult as it is 2 mid speed hits....

Right now it's combo or just ready to be on the defensive ... I like options!!

What do you mean "Keeps it "safe""? It DOES keep you safe (unless it's Tempest Kung Lao LOL). Just because you end up in pressure after it doesn't make it unsafe. Also most of the things in this game are minus, the "pressure" you're getting put in lasts for maybe half a second max lol. Why would you want to cancel into her specials on block anyway? They're all unsafe. If you want options then having the option select is in your best interests because it allows you to at least block or even armour through anything the opponent tries to do afterwards because her B2 and B33 are safe (at least against most of the cast) and her specials aren't. You're really not providing any evidence to suggest letting you cancel it into a special on block is a good idea lol.

If you can't play defensive then you should be working on levelling up instead of asking for what's actually a nerf to the character. Just because you'd like it doesn't mean you deserve it, I mean look at the whole Sub Zero debacle that's been happening lately.

Would you rather end up in a guaranteed full-combo punish, or a pressure situation where you have a chance to avoid any retaliation? Right now you can b2~bf4 with impunity. If the bf4 always came out, you would get full-combo punished every time. It also saves you meter because a MB.db2 won't come out in FA unless you hit.

I know it's duckable, but you said ALL of her specials are unsafe on block, so that covers all of her variations.

Jacqui is flawed too, but Jacqui's much better then kitana.

This is also a good meterless option in the corner if they have no meter to wake up with.

It changes entirely, however since you're not using meter, but you can confirm off of it.

You can check them with b2~db3 for an overhead to low. This is how I originally thought of the idea, lol.

If her b2 was slightly faster, I think she would be absolutely nuts in the corner if the opponent didn't gave meter to wake up with.

It just sucks that some characters have such fast wakeups that they don't always need meter to get out of pressure.

What is her best option to stuff non metered wakeups?
I really, really wish it was just a few frames faster. I think it would be night and day in the corner and on pressure.

On non metered knockdowns if I end a combo in bf4 I almost always go for the B2 stuffing mid screen. It leaves them at perfect distance for the meaty and 9/10 they'll be caught if they do anything but block. Then you can get the b2~combo and repeat until they have a bar or block.

In the corner I use b2 also if they have meter but I'll do up rocket for the +11 advantage. If they block low obviously they'll be hit, and if they block high you get the frames. It's been working for the most part so far.

I really liked B33 at first, but now that players are getting better this "50/50" is probably the weakest out of everyone. Reach is just too short for this type of character. F3 cancel is good if you're at close range but F4 has become a complete blow up. People are getting hip to the "poke and run cancel into 50/50" now also. When people say a character "needs it" I think she actually needs a longer B3 than stomping on her own foot lol.

Agree with the armor as well. Most are unsafe, but all hers do is lead to a knockdown very far from your opponent which is counter productive. Jacqui's armor feels like it is much more risky than some characters. For example, with Kano if I hit ball I can cancel for full combo, and in Cyber I have armored stun Ray for combos on wakeup.

I think she has a lot of strengths still, but her weaknesses are weaknesses. I'm just hoping over time the strengths outweigh them, which I think they can.

Jacqui can get 41% meterless in the corner, but it's only against male characters because it involves db3.

It's b33, db3, 33, db2, 11~bf4.

That's the exact same one I use against the males lol. I have my fingers crossed that a patch will make combos universal. This VF5 Taka garbage is whak lol.

I'm still working on more corner combos. It doesn't seem like we have a dedicated combo thread, so I don't know if any of these are already posted or what.
