Is there anything to this game besides resets and zoning?

From playing this game and watching streams, it appears that this whole game is about zoning until you land one combo. After that combo your opponent has to block a trillion mixups. There are just too many high/low/cross-over mixups in this game. I've seen so many players lose 100% of their live because of this.

What exactly do you want? A game with no projectiles and block strings that consist of 3-6 hits that lead to nothing? If you are fighting a character that has mix-ups for days your main objective is to prevent them from initiating said mix-ups. If you are fighting a character with great zoning, your objective is to pressure them/anti zone them and get in and end their life. If you are playing a character that possesses both, your objective is a little harder...

Mind Games are here I think. And at times with some characters you do have to take risks. Pressure giving and blocking against pressure. Footsies if you play flash, aqua guy, night wing, doomsday, etc. Frame traps? idk.

Don't tell this to me. Tell this to the pros that I see this happen to.

Well there is spacing and jumping and stopping jumping. The game is very vortex heavy most fighting games are. You could play mk9 vortexs are nearly nonexsistant most the bullshit happens while your on your feet.

I do. That's why I'm confused by your statement.
1. Injustice has way more high/low combo starters. In SSF4, most characters have one overhead move max and they can't combo off it it.

2. It is much easier to stay on top of your opponents in Injustice. In SSF4, your opponents push back as you attack them, but this doesn't happen in Injustice.

3. Injustce has many more standing resets.

4. SSF4 has much better wake up attacks. Hello Shoryuken.

5. Injustice has much easier execution.

There are probably way more things but I g2g now.

You mean that thing only like 5 characters have? Anything that's not a 3-frame DP is safe jump bait, and if someone's good there will be an option select buffered in to limit your options even further.

So you want the game to be exactly the same as SF4 but just with DC characters? You do realize you can mod alt costumes for PC SF4, right?

Regarding 2 and 4:
2) You do know there's a push block in Injustice, right? And you know what a pushblock is, right?
4) Uhhh, most of the SSF4 cast would like to say, what wake up attacks? Unlike in Injustice where all of the cast have a chance to have invincible wake-up attacks.
