In all seriousness though, consensus is that Skarlet isn't that great atm.

A lot of low tier characters received buffs. So they move up the latter. Skarlet remains unchanged for the most part.

That and the awareness of people knowing how to fight Skarlet. She has some glaring weaknesses.

Also she was never that good to begin with. People overrate her. Tournament placement speaks for themselves as she is rarely seen. Mid tier at best. Maybe bottom 10 right now tbh.

Skarlet is overrated in this game, she really not great.
She can't even jump projectiles or jump ppl
very slow mids
terrible frames
1 bland combo route which becomes hard to do online
no decent AA or good AA conversion when she AAs all her good AA buttons don't give conversions
janky punishes with no significant damage or fear inducing setups to the opponent
easy to miss input f43
Teleport that takes forever to teleport and was made trash on recovery
f4 has shit range and frame
All strings outside of 44 has gaps
X button has 3 attacks, b3, 3 and d3
her reversal is slower than her own jab, can't even parry certain block attack punishes
you have to work twice as hard to get your own game going
your KB rewards and requirements for B2 are both shit
B32 whiffs at range despite the first hit connecting
B12 whiff at range despite the first hit connecting
hard to convert combos 100% of the time specially on walls
your range is irrelevant and doesn't even mean nothing

Hmmmmm I dont know all three have their own strengths to be honest although none of them are particularly amazing right now which is so annoying

Like legit almost any good string you can think of has a gap and her zoning isn't good enough to compensate for all the gaps they gave her.

Skarlet also suffers from the myth people have that she beats all these rushdown characters. People are still in day one mindset about dealing with her which is going to distort how she is perceived.

the only thing Skarlet has right now is f43~Fatal Blow which does 42%~45% damage

I think her biggest problem is just that her offense relies on strike/throw and to get midscreen damage you have to do 212 which has the same neutral duck punish as throw, so it's not really a mixup. The FB gaps dont bother me as much because of the parry and the fact that all her staggers and most specials are safe to do instead. She's fun to play but I have been trying other characters just to see how it works with a real quick mid or different tools.

She can still compete very well against the cast, she has the easiest gap to flawless block, but If you use her plus frames to your advantage up close you can be a nightmare for your opponent. Stagger, mix and parry.

She's annoying in the right hands, like Vslayer said she has staggers and mix ups that are quite irritating to deal with and of course she's still one of the best zoners in the game.

I find her one of the most difficult characters to use only because she’s not particularly safe on everything and the things she is safe on get FB. I love playing with her tho and win the majority of the time with her but in terms of playstyle there are characters that do what she does but better which is disheartening really. However if u like her actual character then you just have to endure the hard matchups and work extra hard to win, just how it works for this game with any low tiered character

She's one of the safest characters in the game, she only has 1 string that's unsafe and has several safe special moves to cancel into. Sorry but you're incorrect here. A big part of the reason I main her is for the fact that you can basically do anything and be safe.

All of those "safe" strings can be flawless blocked, hence they're not safe.
