Yeah I use Berserker stance 1 religiously. It's really an incredible mid, and leads to so much damage if it lands and you decide to spend the bar. D3xxBS1 catches so many people off guard, I also use this religiously, much to my opponents dismay.

Well that's a given, I was undefeated in random online matches when I was playing butcher because gimmicks, that didn't prove anything though
If it was a 5 frame mid everyone would be complaining since that's like some Raiden at launch shit and everyone would be using LF tbh

The restans set up is armorable now after the nerfs so it's not as strong. The mid is from his stance which is why it isn't a true 5f mid and he can cancel it because it's part of the stance. He has more dirt than just those two things but the dirt requires a little more effort than other characters. He's a lot better than people give him credit for, same with Butcher, who honestly the more I play him the more I might think the character is better than Killer.
Pretty much this. You'll find that leatherface can at least go toe to toe with a lot of characters, with some issues with intense zoning like predator. But the fact that he can't compete with some of the top tier (except Tarkatan! I think he might do decent ish against tarkatan but I haven't played nearly enough of that matchup to know it well enough) it's really just a matter of waiting to see what is done in the upcoming patch. We have the damage, we even have some of the dirt, now all we need is the buttons and the top tier taken down a few pegs. Then, we can start wearing people's faces and feel good about it
it's definitely a close call for me while others will probably definitively say the order for how good his three variations are Killer then Pretty Lady and ending with Butcher but for me it's at least a tie between Butcher and Killer for the best variation but that's a rare opinion it seems.

The power of him having a useable mid and a useable low is one of the big deals. It is so much easier to open up the opponent if you have 50/50's. That paired with his solid buttons and pretty damn gross corner pseudo vortex that lands you 35% on the low and 40% on the overhead, which can mean you're dead VERY fast, makes this character quite a nightmare.
