Is everyone Genuinely Excited for Friendships?

I mean it's cool that they added them but it's not this huge selling point for me personally. I'd rather have them in than not I guess.

.... they mostly come at night. Mostly.
fuck yeah ! they are fun , cool and old school finisher, baby ! :p

I bet that they are linked to the Mercy command, kinda, you have to use the Mercy and go for the Friendship.

They are always welcome, and hope NRS stick with them for the next MK too ! ;)

I'm pretty happy that they're back. They may even help me be less salty depending on how they're performed. Like, in MK9 I would never get upset about seeing most of the Babalities because they were so cute. That and they've been something everyone has speculated about since MK9, so it's great to the finally see them return. Noob and Sub-Zero's ones have me in stitches. So keen to see what my mains (Kotal and Cetrion) ones are like.

At first I was hype for friendships being reintroduced into the game. They seem funny as they should, and feel like a fun addition. Then the reality set in. It's just another long non game play movie you're forced to sit through. It'll be the same thing as seeing the same fatality over and over and over. I'm coming at this from the perspective of playing the game a lot, not a little. I can see the barely play crowd loving this as they wont see it often and it'll be comical, but for people that play online a lot you'll see these constantly and I imagine they will wear thin. Why can't NRS design fatalities with the time frame of brutalities in mind? Brutalities are the best thing that were introduced in their current incarnation in MKX. They are short, sweet, to the point, and fun. They don't halt the game in favor of netflix n chill. Stopping the gameplay in favor of a cutscene is ok for a single player game that relies on story telling, but for a fighting game, it just doesn't work imo. Are there really people that prefer cutscenes play instead of actually playing the game? When you lose a game and are forced to constantly watch cutscenes don't you get tired of it? Aren't you ready to just jump back into the next match? It already takes too long to load the next match when you're itching for a run back, but to endure movies, I believe it just breaks the flow way too much and I have a feeling that Friendships in this regard will be just as tiresome. If they were shorter, maybe, but some so far seem really long, and it'll be another thing for players to abuse. Toxicity tbag into movie on top of shitty connections is already commonplace and overly annoying. So will friendships be any different? Anyone else agree fatalities and the upcoming friendships should evolve and be streamlined into the gameplay more like a brutality? Or are there people who genuinely sit there and can't wait to see the movie?
I love their inclusion since now I have a lore-friendly reason to have allies and friends finish each other of with a non-violent way. I use finishers quite a few times, and while I'm not 'can't wait to see the finisher!', it's just another victory pose for me, albeit a more gruesome one.

I get the frustration for someone who's like 'gotta get to the next match!!' in online, though. It should be skippable, just like intros are. Everyone wins.

Really happy to see them.
I'm really fed up with the overly realistic gore porn fatalities that are everywhere in the game since MKX.

I want some good stupid fun back. Be it quick fatalities where 20 arms fly across the screen or stupid friendships.

I'd also love a juke box because the MK11 soundtrack is the blandest trash I heard since the last Hans Zimmer movie OST.

You can turn everything into whatever you want using language. That is the role of a lawyer, for example. We are influenced and we influence people by using language.
Lets see, for ex:

"Ice cream is just an cold mass with water and sugar that makes you unhealthy"

"There is no need for laws in the world. They are just words writen in a piece of paper...no value at all"

I mean....your description of friendships is just more of that, I see.
What I say to people who complain about fatalities, and are in hurry....if this is a problem for you, go play another game. Demanding that for a MK game is like demanding water to be solid.

Maybe find people who don't do finishers, I'm sure there's a way to find players who just wanna play matches and skip on finishers.

So far the game has been too bloody, way too much for my liking, so friendshipa bring that comic relief this game was in need.

I think an ality has not been this kool since mk9 babies imo
