Injustice - New Character Reveal to Drop on Monday

bye felicia
what the shit happened while I was gone? Nothing has changed. Raven is sitting right there being all in game and confirmed and still nobody cares about Red Hood.

Also, I thought we had all agreed to pretend Rasta Joker never happened. Jesus, man I was eating when I opened this thread.

</3 ...... There's always DLC.
Imagine Red Hood is the next annoucement and the Raven-fanbois are like: "BUT EDDY, U SAID RED HOOD'S CHANCES AIN'T THAT HIGH; SO WE THOUGHT RAVEN AND YEAH?"

And he would be like: "Well kids, with 'chances pretty low' I meant that I was not going to respond to the tweets about Red Hood ;-)"

I don't see why Red Hood would take up a hero slot. I don't know much about his comic in the New 52 other than it ruining Starfire's personality, but Jason Todd is, at BEST, an anti-hero along the lines of Catwoman. At worst, he's almost as bad as the rest of the scumbags in Gotham. He's just as deluded as R'as al Ghul as well, thinks that he's doing the right thing. Again, I like Red Hood, especially his portrayal in the DC Animated Film. And they could make him work, but he'll likely be an alt and/or DLC if he's in at all. There are so many interesting characters in the DC Universe. Some more interesting than others for certain people. And that's fine. Yay diversity.

Then you wake up in your wet panties and realize you have to change your bed sheets and life wasn't as great as you once thought

You know what they save: "Live your dreams and don't dream your life" or something cheesy like that.

I would have never expected Red Hood to be a hero. Why would he? He would be one of the villains, who are lacking in the moment and he would be on the side of Batman, since in the end of the day, even if he doesn't like Batman, he is there for him.

And Starfire was always a questionable character, mainly because of her background. Being a sex-slave and stuff like that ... man, don't try to make comics that dramatic, it's stupid.
People seem to like Kevin Smith and are happy that he does the Injustice Battle Arena stuff, but all I see is a fat ass bastard who retconned Black Cat big time and turned her into a rape victim (who has been raped twice during one story).

PS:

life wasn't as great as you once thought
Life sucks.

Oh come on that's not hypocrisy! The dude in the towel (Red Hood?) is like that for a page or two at most, whereas Starfire's regular costume only has a little bit more material than that bikini. It's like when they filled in Power Girl's boob window on her new costume due to sexism complaints, but she still manages to have all her clothes burnt off at least once an issue.

Well, I've only read one story of the Titans and from what I could tell, Starfire was a decent character. Sure, she went behind Wonder Woman's back to invite Wonder Girl#2 to the Titans, but I got where she was coming from. Starfire was sold into slavery and she doesn't like people trying to stifle someone else's free will, which was essentially what Wonder Woman was trying to do. That lead to an interesting brawl between the JLA and the Teen Titans that pretty much didn't stop until Nightwing showed up and basically said, "Gee, I didn't think that the kids would be more mature than you idiots."

But basically, from what I can tell, it isn't so much Starfire's sluttiness(for lack of a better term), it's the fact that she went from a pretty strong-willed character to a bimbo with rocks for brains.

Let's be honest here ...
... would superheroine comics sell as well as they might do, if the female superheroes would all be covered up in body-armor?
Some might say that's very doubtful, since in the end of the day, sex does sell.

The actual problem in the entire story comes with people who are too stupid to differ between sexism and idealism.
People go nuts, because Power Girl has huge boobs and a perfect ass, yet when they look at Captain America, who looks like the perfect man, no one gives a fuck about it.
Why not? Because they don't realize that not only women get idealised in comics, but also the men. Look at Batman in comics and look at Batman in the movies. Huge difference, isn't it?

Dude, I had this girlfriend once who would go on and on about the evils of Barbie and Maxim and the unrealistic body image they set for girls. I mentioned that boys get it way, way, way worse from superhero action figures and she's like "NO... wait... huh... never thought about it" and I was all like "I know, because you're sexist as fuck."

At least Mattel never made Bullet-Proof Barbie.

Except that there's a pretty big difference, see the whole 'super-guys are well muscled in spandex too' argument falls flat because the way male characters are portrayed in comics is more male fantasy than female fantasy. It's more how males wish they were than for women to drool over. Otherwise the movie poster for The Avengers would have looked more like this:

After all it's not like guys love the super-ripped women in their full costumes, they like the fair-featured, big breasts/butt in skimpy outfits. It's not like the male characters are drawn with fairer features in nothing but a banana hammock with a clear bulge.

Call it "Sexist" call it "Perversion", I jus think it's natures way of humans succumbing to the selective breeding process to improve the species. The same reason animals select a mate based on health and the benefits is adds to the offspring. That's my opinion take it or leave it.

Just look at characters like Nightwing and Spider-man. They do poses that are almost the exact same as some of these sexist female ones if not more sexual and no one bats an eyelash. Hell, Nightwing was raped by a woman and no one gave a shit.
