I'm not going to start some petition or anything to change the costumes like those "CHANGE BATMAN'S STANCE" guys. lol


But I do think that we should be able to critique something on an artistic level.


I didn't just say "those costumes suck". I offered constructive criticism. I said HOW I would have done it.

I don't see a problem. Killer Frost probably makes more sense from a gameplay perspective. Captain Cold not being in wasn't a fuck-up.

Are you one of those people who "if it's not my way, it's the wrong way"?

Furthermore, she's not a -girl version of a male character (like Batgirl or Supergirl or She-Hulk). She's not a villain riding a hero's coattails (like Silver Banshee). She didn't start as just a member of a team (like Rogue or Storm). She is a female hero that stands on her own as her own character, and that's hard to come by.

I agree and disagree.


Someone that struggles to grab a solid fan base should absolutely get in over someone that has a significant fanbase so that they can garner interest in that character. If given the choice of Animal Man or Black Canary they should pick Animal Man more times than not. However, this should only be the case of someone that is showcased frequently or even is a main character in their own comic. Someone like a Banshee shouldn't get in if the thought process is "showcase some prevalent in DC", but if they plan to do more stuff with her soon then yes, put her in.


Also, every villain, hero, sidekick, etc... is riding the coat tails of someone else if they aren't the MAIN person. Eventually they break out and no longer need the person/people to garner interest, Black Canary is no different: She was gaining interest through teams and the like, she had people from other books appear in hers, etc.... You make it sound like she was alone from day one and just grabbed the people's attention when this is not the case. She was part of team ups, groups, special appearances, it goes on. BTW, I'm not the biggest BC fan, has she ever had her own long running book? Not Birds of Prey, not JLA/JSA, just "Black Canary"?

How do you mean makes more sense? they could have used new 52 cold who is a Meta if they wanted someone with Ice Powers
its not a fuck up per se but i think it was a really bad decision on their part

I think the most obvious problem here is that NRS said they'd bring in a few obscure character(Ares, Killer Frost) but when they're announced people say it's a bad decision, despite asking for obscure characters.

It was a great decision; they wanted to bring some lesser known people into the spotlight, and I think it was pretty clear that they weren't going to go with New 52 Cold* seeing as he has his gun in the comics. I don't care for either of them but NRS wanted Frost so I'll be hyped for Frost.

*Arguing what if scenarios is stupid and I'm not going to argue about it.

I think they were just desperate for female characters that weren't clones of Superman and Batman.

Yo I'm watching MK at FinalRound and I am seeing Kenshi gameplay for the first time.Why didnt they make Green lantern like that guy?Instead of telekinetic sword strings it would have been long distance Constructs strings and specials!It would have been hype as fuck but alas.Just some food for thought.

Saving it for Larfleeze DLC obviously.

But really, I'm glad GL is as he is. Really balanced character. Sinestro is supposed to be the Dhalsim/Kenshi, maybe he's got some constructs we haven't seen.

EDIT: Balanced in the sense that he seems to excel at multiple ranges/playstyles, not speaking about game balance :p

i actually think Ares was a great idea, and there are other characters that arent well known to non comic book fans that people are fine with (Grundy, Sinestro, Black Adam, and Nightwing) they are also obscure/lesser known characters. my gripe with Frost is that they overlook a well known top tier character to add an obscure b list character who just now showed up in current continuity. and now Flash has no villains but Bats, Supes, GL, Shazam, and WW all do. im not trying to argue with you that would be pointless and i agree with some of what you're saying i just think they did this very wrong. it would be like adding Black Hand instead of Sinestro or adding Dr. Light instead of Black Adam

Fred Marvel big deal. Some characters are going to get replaced. Martian Manhunter is more known than Ares but look where he is, a background(though to be fair, likely DLC). It's the price of asking for obscure characters, you can't complain when you get them. >_>

Still, the Injustice universe seems more based on the DC timeline pre-Flashpoint rather than New 52. I make this claim based on the fact that Supes knocked up Lois(aren't he and Wonder Woman an item in the New 52?), both of Supes's human parents are alive(I remember hearing that they were both dead in New 52, but if I'm wrong, please tell me), and Joker's face isn't strapped to his head, and in the comic, Capt. Cold has a gun. I think doing all of that and then in the game suddenly giving Cold meta powers would've seemed really off. And I honestly don't think his style of potential gameplay would've fit with NRS's standards for ice-based characters.

Why? I'll be disappointed but I won't cry about it incessantly like you CC fans who deserve to be trolled like how NRS trolled Teen Titans Raven lovers.

Besides I have all my mains already; Scarecrow would be icing on the sex cake.
