How are we supposed to lab this shit?As told by Tyler Landsown on the PS Blog :
But we didn’t want to stop there. At NetherRealm, we always want to make games that are fun, challenging and innovative. We strive to give players a level of control that makes playing our games a truly personal experience. For that reason, we have introduced a brand new Gear System, allowing players to build their own version of Superman, their Batman and ultimately, their Injustice Universe.
The Gear System uses RPG-like mechanics to reward you with loot drops every time you play the game. With each loot drop, you will earn character-specific gear to outfit and power up your roster – changing not only the look of each character, but your fight strategy and your personal approach to every match. As you gear up your characters, you’re building a roster of DC Super Heroes and Super-Villains that reflects your choices, and your preferences, which can be vastly different than your opponents. A few play sessions in, you can expect your Aquaman to look and play different than anyone else’s Aquaman you may come across.
How will this work for tournaments? I doubt every console will have every gear unlocked...UNLESS you can pay for it, but it sounds like there will be a lot of variety. Also, on top of button checks there will now be additional time between matches for people to accessorize their characters? Party game confirmed? As told by Tyler Landsown on the PS Blog :

Atrocitus is pretty much confirmed http://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20160608005497/en/Warner-Bros.-Interactive-Entertainment-Announces-Injustice-2So....huh.
Supergirl confirmed, as predicted. Pretty much a given with her show and needing more female characters.
Doubting more and more that Atrocitus is in the game at all.
I don't know about anyone else, but that trailer seemed pretty dark.
I'm surprised how little it gives away....guessing it does not continue on from the first in terms of story at all, and may be set in a completely different universe.
The gear system sounds potentially amazing, if everyone can build up their characters to be different.
Not sure I like every character having the shifting armor, but whatever.
What really upsets me though......is they still didn't give Batman white eyes. Damn it...he just looks foolish to me with his baby blues peeping out from his mask of terror.
Whatever though. Dc characters. NRS game. I am so in. Going to preorder as soon as I can, and then I'll drop another $40 for the extra money grabbing shit they release after the season pass or whatever runs out.
I wonder if Injustice 2 is meant to be a competitive game thenAs told by Tyler Landsown on the PS Blog :

Also..Batman activiates his green shit not to fight Superman, but to fight Flash....somaybe it isn't kryptonite at all, but something else.

Will you be cosplaying Supergirl like you did with Catwoman?
From the press release and stuff it doesn't sound like mid-game adaptions, put rather upgrades and stuff you acquire throughout the game which you'll then choose pre-match. Will be interesting to see how drastically they affect things and how tournaments deal with themAny guesses to what this armour shin dig is? Variations? Mid-game adaptations similar to stance switch? New trait system?
Maybe they're keeping that system where the health doesnt reset between rounds so you gain the armor (more abilities) when you lose a round, for an added comeback factor? It looked like they only got the armor upgrades after getting knocked down or beaten up.Any guesses to what this armour shin dig is? Variations? Mid-game adaptations similar to stance switch?
