d+b+block protects against a lot of stuff, but beware of close range jabs. A lot of good players will take advantage of a crouching and blocking opponent and lay on the low punches and they can be hard to get out of. This is especially true for teleporting characters like Raiden, his jab pressure is brutal in the right hands.RyuKazuya said:
As for the beginning of the round, mix it up a little. Sometimes it's good to wait and see what your opponent is going to do, other times you want to just get in their face or sweep or do whatever. You would be surprised how often you can just walk in and throw someone because they expect you to jump in at the beginning of the round. Just experiment.
