That combo does 48% without the Lex Armor buff. It's a really nice combo--may I add it to the official combo thread? Also, let me know once you test it and figure out that I'm right :p
its tought to land again and im still working on it. I managed 48% alone before connecting the bats and grapple gun.

I'm loving ending combos with 123 right now. It puts you at the perfect spacing and advantage to whiff 11, and from here you can mix up between 113 (overhead), 11 b113 (low), or 11 & bait a wakeup. None of this can be escaped by jumping out. It's a really nice oki mix up.
Edit: You can get the same set up if you do a full dash after b23 hits. It might work with some other knockdowns too.

Does anybody know how to lay grounded? It doesn't seem like holding down works, but maybe I'm just dumb lol.

It's really great that you can fire the bats, dash up to your opponent and still get a combo off of them. I guess that gives Batman a nice tool for punishing whiffs.

I truly wonder if my goofing with BUG_ME gave me a damage boost for my combos before I reset my demo. some of my other combos have done less since then.

Not sure about what settings could affect what, but the thing I'm describing occurs in my copy of the demo, which is unmodified. I just created a video demonstrating the effect.

I made alot of unknown changes through that bug_me thing. I even found a way to switch the settings to SF style inputs.

That's crazy--did it just change them on the screen, or did it actually affect the gameplay? Can you find the negative edge switch? I'd like to flip that off forever lol.

2 simple questions:

(1) Does anyone know if you can select the alt color for the demo costume? I like the black much better.

(2) On the Gotham rooftop, how do you place a bomb when you leap off the air conditioner unit stage transition?

You certainly can! Press square/X on the character select then start

b113 is his best closeup string anyway.

What I've come to realize with Batman, is he has to have bats out, all the time, even with just 1. I think you'll only end up with 3 bats if you end up getting pressured without bats on screen. Otherwise, you'll just be going 2 at the most. Even with 1, though, everything becomes better lol. With 2, he just gets in there. 3...blah, just don't block anything.

He's going to be tricky, too, because of how different the scenarios can be with each number of bats.

I know this is only the demo and all, but bats seems like the most OP thing ever.

Chris g pulled off a 40% combo off of an AA... I mean the mixup possibilities, the bats, he can even kinda zone...

This is the final batman version right?

Allegesly it's not according to Sabin.
 
So far the tech my brother has found with batman is if you end combos with <XXY it causes an untechable state so you can dash in then you have multiple options such as doing <XXY again, do >A or throw as the state they are left in forces them to block your mix ups or super out. The amount of time they are in the state depends on if they were on the ground or in the air.

Might have found some new/old tech for the demo. Think of it as a Batman metered vortex. Not 100% on it working as I lack someone to test it against. Maybe some of you guys can help me out.

B113 has the least chance of whiffing after a crossup j2 is blocked also, from my experience.

On crossup j2 blocked:
112 - the last hit will often whiff which results in getting blown up
113 - has a hole before the least hit (if they just mash d1 there is no mixup)
223 - 2nd hit whiffs on crouch block (they can also mash d1)
B113 - usually works fine, every once in a while the 2nd hit will whiff, sadly. I think in time you'll be able to tell the spacing at which it would whiff though. (Possibly use d3 sweep in this scenario?)

I think B112 may be able to punish d1 mashers, but it only does like 5% lol

EDIT: I also want to add Batmans d1 range is unbelievably short. After blocking a d1, if you try and counter poke with your d1 it will whiff every time (wtf)

I'm not seeing how Batman can pressure well when he doesn't have access to bats or ex batarangs. I don't know if he's completely a rushdown character, I think the bats alone make him seem like a strong counter character.

Is there counterpoking in this game? D1s are advantage on block, there's no d3 or d4, and normals seem a bit faster. I wonder how that will change the metagame.

They are? I've mainly fought WW and hers is -2 for sure.
