Random question:

Can you configure the hitbox buttons to be a combination of buttons? For example I never use L2 during games so changing it to forward+3 so when I use a command grab I only need to use 2 directions (down, back and the new configured button) instead of 3 and cheat my way out of that nonsense rule of command grabs requiring 3 directions?

I know I can do that in PC but I'm looking for ways to do the same with consoles.

As far as I know? No, you can't. Unless maybe you get a converter like the cronos max or something. But even then I'm pretty sure that's not tournament legal.

God damn it! I just ordered a hitbox from http://www.hitboxarcade.com, its going to shipped to Europe and even I will avoid the faxes the shipping is like 80$ (that includes some snacks). I hope I will adapt fast, i've played MK1, MKII and UMK3 on a keyboard so I have pretty good chance to get along.

I guessed it wouldn't be possible but worth trying. Tekken has button personalization by default for example and it would be a sweet feature in MK. I still haven't tried the modification I said on PC but I don't think it would be illegal... using hitboxes is also a way to go around execution for example (things like 21122 or 112124 are way easier with the hand on that position and even the 3 direction inputs are easier as you use 3 fingers instead of one). It's not cheating, it's working around hardware related execution which is fine IMO.

Maybe I'll have something to say ... Probably not

That is illegal in tournament play, the only button combination macros that are allowed are the ones provided in the game (like having a throw button instead of 1+3 or 3 punches in street fighter)

I'm hoping someone could help me out. I just got the Brook X360/XB1 to PS4 super converter to use my XB1 hitbox on PS4 and it's not working. The firmware is updated to V2.2.2.

I was really looking forward to using my hitbox on SFV so this is really bumming me out. If anyone knows a workaround or fix then please let me know. I'd appreciate it.

@Hendrixson @C88 True Grave both told me that it doesn't work with brook. Titan One seems to be the way to go

Always wanted to try a hitbox but never had the chance yet. Seems like it would be hard to play on like a keyboard.

It's honestly pretty easy. There is a learning curve. But once you get used to it you'll never want to go back. You're biggest obstacle will be relearning how to play again. Even something easy will seem awkward. My best advice would be to just practice combos and play the Ai gor a week or two. Just to get yourself used to the button layout. Also depending on your finger dexterity you may want to do finger exercises. Just to make things a little easier for yourself.

Tbh the hitbox isn't for everyone. But for me it was worth it.
