Also I might suggest adding character sections for the newer characters. Last time I checked it was missing everyone after omen and maybe a few before him

Hisako looks so fun to play. Ill get with her in the lab tomorrow thats for sure.
And yeh, playing ki helped me improve alot for my fundamentels. (Like others mentioned)

Anyway now that mkx is around the corner, im sadly not gonna play as much anymore :(

Would that be worth the effort? I think just having a general KI forum would suffice. I doubt much of anyone would post character specific content here.

I knew KI was going to release something big soon to counter MK X's time here. Cinder looks...different.

KI3's fun but some characters look a little weird compared to the 90's versions. It's not bad online, I've had laggy matches in KI as with any game online, sadly I don't think any game plays perfect online(yes even you too COD and Halo) lol my friend has KI3 once Cinder is out I'll play it at his place when I visit him. Hope he has his classic outfit.

As long as I remember when I was an Xbox owner, Killer Instinct start awesome and finish to be really boring because of combo/counter breaker mechanics.
However, it remains a good game.
Everything is good beside Jago. Most boring and annoying character ever created and there are a ton of them online.

It might if there was more ppl active in ki forums but as of now i agree that it wouldnt be worth the effort.

Holy crap, they actually managed to make a fighting game character and their stage legit creepy/scary. That's so hard to pull off in a fighter it's down right impressive.

Can't say enough good things about this. I debated getting KI for like... 10 months, and I am sooooo glad I did (in August of last year). Great combination of a fundamentals-centric game like Street Fighter and a crazier game like MK or IGAU. Fantastic combo system that feels totally unique. And, like others have said, playing it has drastically improved my fundamentals. I cannot recommend this game enough. I'm enjoying it so much that it has actually reduced my hype for MKX. I'm really going to be stretched to decide which to play, even though KI has been out for well over a year. And despite all the complaints (some from me), the "season" system actually does keep things feeling fresh.

On to specifics: I think I'm more hyped for Hisako than any other character I can remember (only Martian Manhunter and Kenshi come remotely close). Not only is she animated amazingly well, but her gameplay is gonna be out of this world. She's this bizarre mix of a counter-poker and grappler who looks more like a pixie character. I just know she's going to take my fundamentals to the next level, and the mind games she's going to be able to pull off will be ridiculous. It's so slick that her gameplay mimics her appearance: she's going to make opponents very afraid to move.

If you have the ability to pick up KI, I highly recommend it. I've bitched about a lot of things about the game, but the overall package is more than worth your money if you're a serious FG fan. And the fact that Iron Galaxy is a studio run by FGC peeps just makes supporting it that much more legit.

If you don't want an Xbox, and thus won't / can't play KI, that is fine...unfortunate (as IMO you are missing out), but fine.

PS

It has always bothered me that so many on TYM think MK "deserves respect in the FGC," but then they go around bashing this game or that one just because... Why is that? You would think that because MK was, and to some extent still is, the red-headed step child of the FGC, and was for so long, that people would be more attuned with other communities and/or games that are / were in a similar boat. Guess not.

Well, I didn't bash KI. If people are doing that, yeah - that's shitty. I haven't even been around here regularly in over a year, so if they have been doing it, then I apologize but I'm totally unaware of it. If you and @RM JagoBlake are only concerned with that, that's one thing, but it seemed a very accusatory comment. What I read did not seem to be "why is the community hating on KI," it was "why isn't the community actively supporting it," and well, that's the reason. It's not a question of Xbone or PS4 (I own neither and never will, accounting for myself), it's a question of flat-out expense.
