Looks like a lot more high level players are picking up Fate so his time will come, lol. Shit bro you subtonic from discord?!? I drink too much:confused:

As GL I pretty much live and die by resets. What are people doing against Supergirl and Swampthing? There wakeups pretty much beat out most of my resets.

They just do a full combo.
From some time I am doing OKI setups only in 3 situations:
  • I know my opponent have no idea how to deal with it and I want to quickly finish match (talking about ranked).
  • I am out of meter and I can't finish my opponent's life bar with meterless combo
  • In close match when both health bars are red and I can't kill with single combo - then I mioght rely on reset to win
Especially when I have access to back ground bounce I will do full combo almost all of the time. It's far more reliable than play guessing game with your opponent

I haven't explored bounce cancel combos since I normally feel like I can do more with the meter. How much damage are you doing with the B3 bounce cancel combos?

Man despite my frustration with GL in general, I'm pretty damn annoyed that they haven't released his legendary multiverse towers yet.

It's not fair that they've staggered the release of them imo. For one, as far as I know, you don't get credit for any of the requirements that you happen to meet prior to the tower going live, so in essence, the requirements for characters with towers released late, are significantly higher.

I've easily met the play time in minutes, the number of villains defeated, and total damage dealt, but I believe none of it will count. So before it's all said and done, by the time I meet the requirements I will have far far exceeded them.

Secondly, depending on when GL had his tower released, the game may have a bit less participation overall, so it's likely that I simply won't have the opportunity to enjoy his legendary gear in player matches as much as I would like.

I just really don't get why NRS decided to make only 7 characters or whatever have towers accessible at first and then have such a gap between when others are released.

^Other than me "dropping" GL for Adam temporarily because he sucks, one of the main reasons im not using him right now is because all stats I get with him right now are pointless because our Legendary Lantern isn't out yet lol.

Im literally sitting on 98 gear waiting for the legendary gear to drop. If GL gear doesn't drop with the Atom im going to be pissed.
Yeah no to mention the hundreds of rare gear pieces I've had to sell off that I coulda sacrificed to the tower.

What is the point of this move if it gets reflected even if you place it visually behind Enchantress BF1.
Blast still is barely touching the gate hitbox. You have to cleanly place it behind, which means being closer than full screen...which is fine given she really can't do much to you at that range anyway but curse or advance. Beam also goes through it, too, so you're not dead in the water. Using it right, it should not be a major issue. Learn your spacing and it should be cool.

I'd like to remind you that DB2 has a lot of blind spots and can be placed only in 3 places, not 4 like Red Hood's mine or Starfire's dust. So you can't say `just space it, mate` because it can take a while to travel to the sweet spot where DB2 is not useless and Enchantress won't stay still and wait. The only solution for current situation is: don't use DB2.

Just let's not pretend it is ok. Enchantress BF1 can't reflect BA's black magic even if she stands inside her wall. Why the hell game is not consistent?

Still touching the wall, from what I saw. The green light is all hitbox, and it's bigger than you'd expect. I've played the matchup a bit, and as long as I stood in the right spot, the Enchantress would have to actively keep herself out of that area and either come up or back herself up to the corner. And again, it's not like GL doesn't have options. Beam always goes through, so you can use that to check wall summons or any curse attempts. It's very viable, so long as you have an understanding of the matchup.

And for black magic...I don't think any of Adam's projectiles count as such...I believe they're all strike hitboxes.
 
It seems there's a multiverse event for this guy. Well in my area at least. Should I go for it ? Is green lantern worth it right now ?

Hey guys i was labbing Hal now that he's an actual character and I found this
It's not optimized but it is super consistent. The gravity really effects the last hit of f2d13 real bad in the corner. It's pretty hard to wake up from as well because of the corpse hop. you can also do f3 j2 223db1mb f23d13 but it's super strict timing and always drops the last hit, which is the important part of the setup. The combo after is just me looking for more ideas.
You can also just loop it on people, which has already born beautiful fruit full of of hatemail from ranked matches.

Can anyone tell me, is there a point to his b2 strings in this game? I don't see them being useful for footsies, pressure, punishes, or damage. Are they just inferior? I know the animation isn't as cool in this game, but did they just nerf it all to the ground?

B23 being +3 is great. Also, ji3, b23xLift, 223xxdb1mb, b3, 223xx lift is his most damaging reset at 477 on Superman

B23 is actually good to use it in background bounce combos or combos from B3 if you want to spent a bar.

B23 also can stuff some forward advancing wakeups like Brainiac's or Hellboy's

But yeah since it's 14 frames and range on first hit it's very short also it easly gets low profiled, it's hard to utilize it in neutral game or in pressure. Maybe if you have conditioned your opponent to block after J3 you can allow yourself to do B23 instead of 2231, but personally i prefer to mix throws, F3 and 2231 after J3.
