I'm just starting to use Geras and wanted to know if any if he had any tick throws? I'm at work and cant check right now.
I've gotten in a habit of dashing forward after BF2 (MB) no matter what combo I follow up with. It allows for standing 3, F3, F1, or F212 afterwardsCan someone verify if some of these combo strings arent working or if they only work on certain characters?
I cannot get b22 xx bf2mb, f1,1+3 to connect on the grab (f1, 1+3). It either whiffs or you have to go to shoulder charge to connect. (This was against Baraka and against Kitana).

These are so cool, but 2 bars to do them...damn. It's hard to want to play New Era when Infinite Warden seems more complete.Midscreen standing reset into mix:

EDIT: just checked, the tournament var New Era has Stepping it Back and Sand Pillar. I use regular sand pillar for combo extensions off f212 and use MB pillar to launch off of the sweep from F3 stagger.
You can also launch off 111 as well, just don't do f3 after d1, 24xxDF3b. just MB it then do 111 as they're getting up, if they get hit by the overhead they get launched for full combo

Yeah you can block the setup, it's not an unblockable. Also what do you mean by hoppxx3? it's just that Geras has no combo-starting lows or overheads, the sweep might throw them off idk. Also with the 111 setup you could end the string at 11 if they wait for the overhead and get plus frames off of it.^These aren't optimal fyi, these do more:

As for the corner setup, can't they just block? Maybe I'm missing something, but it looks like hopxx3 won't combo with the df3bMB (and you're negative after hopxx2 because the pillar hits before) so I don't really see a mixup/setup here outside of use the df3bMB to create plus frames unless you're going to throw them out of the corner, so why not just cash out on damage with the bar, or get plus frames from f3ddMB on oki?
I mean short hop(3) with hopxx3 to create a launching 50/50 between that and sweep. My point is that the setup is pretty gimmicky and not worth spending the bar when you're sacrificing damage for a slim chance for a payoff, you're better off either spending the bar for damage or spending the bar for plus frames with f3ddMB, which you can also hit confirm into another full combo.Yeah you can block the setup, it's not an unblockable. Idk what you're asking here but if you end the string with 24xxDF3B MB you can do F3 as they're getting up and if you sweep right afterwards, they'll get launched by the MB DF3B if the sweep connects. Same with 111, just don't do the F3. Go right into it as they're getting up
I strongly disagree. U have A Mid command grab with HUGE range and HUGE corner carry and great normals to tick from. Stepping it back gives u nice plus frames from normals (s3xxddR2 is around +8 on block). Hes dmg is Also good, not as good as Infinite Warden but in corner u get 300-350+dmg every hit if u have meter, if u hit them with f212 in corner its 300+ without meter. In mid u can still get close to 300 more if u end combo with Titan tackle and it carrys opponent to corner from max range. Oh and the Amplified sand pilar is fantastic move in corner with the tick throw setups on block and combo on hit. Infinite Warden has better overall dmg and anti-zoning but when u say there is no reason to play new era over IW, bsAt this point, it seems like there’s not much point to ever playing New Era over Infinite Warden, which is kind of a bummer. :/
