2nd is not the winner and 3 nobody remember. Aka 4th means nothing. You spend more time on your "hobby" than anything else.

So if u fought through 128 people and earned a 7th that doesn't earn u some seeding? I would not agree with this man.

I just stated this in a pm. U have to have objective parameters to define what is what and who gets what to avoid subjective conversations like this.

Everyone has an opinion and it's good to see a lot of people posting it's means people care.

Yep, I could propose a more complex system, but I want some type of compromis. Top from most recent tourny then regional is ok as well, but no further than top 8, that is where things get really messy

What if I do not go to civil war and or ufgt and show up at CEO? Should u be seeded or do my three top 8s earn me the right to occupy a bye spot right under theo?

Just making a point man. I see yours too.

Edit. Or better yet... Put me in that bye right under you :)

I get what u mean, my issue with past placings is ppl start arguing which tournament meant more and then it leads to a bunch of arguing. If we want to implement past placings, we MUST, got to emphasize that lol, implement a point system per event.

Do a season. Avoids Chris g being a top 3 seed currently. Find objective criteria for what is a major, regional. Award points accordingly. Have a ranking system based off of that.

I agree, this would work if we can get a system together that is reasonable nd effective.

I also don't see "Doctors" running around saying racial slurs then backing it up by saying they are down with a Coalition of Real N****'s and has black friends.

I haven't said anything harsh. You I know are as sensitive as 2nd rate toilet paper are offended by everything.

Shenanigans Commentary is okay during casuals and before/after sets, but in the middle of a Tournament game things should be professional and non-bias, people travel for these events and shouldn't be treated with bias, especially when they can hear the commentators during the match.

At Winter Brawl I had a lot of rebeloing and I could hear a lot of it during the games. I could hear a lot of criticism during the matches too, things like "that clash was bad" or "why did he drop the combo" etc. I understand people could use headphones (but I actually play worse when I use them) but still. I imagine its disheartening for the player who's not being supported heavily by the commentators.

Seed by region then seed the people who got top 3 at the last event. Everything from 4th-8th is bullshit.

People need to stop acting like getting 4th-8th place is a fucking accolade.

I disagree on one thing. I do believe achieving top 8 is a great accomplishment. Top 3 should be the only thing that matters in terms of seeding, but top 8 in general shouldn't be seen as a lowly achievement, especially if you're consistent with it. I'm not sure how to go about seeding, though. We don't have the international competition that SF has, so we can't use their system. We would need strictly North American rankings, but we only really had like a low double-digit number of majors

I think too much emphasis may be put on the mentality of 'top placement'. If you were to get pools with top players and other pools are with inferior and/or unknown players, then yes, one might say that more inferior players could get a free pass to the top, while top players may not. So in theory, many of the final matches may not have the same climactic expectations people look for when watching these tournaments, but it might eliminate the issue of unknown players not getting seeded. So among other things, ideals can play an important part in peoples minds.
