i like it more because it is safer than commmitting to a dash, in terms of recovery as well as spacing. i dont believe it can be punished on reaction, only on read. also kanos huge dashes would put you either too close or too far i guess.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't doing the d,d cancel as effective as doing a run canceled with block? (Not specifically for Kano, because his input is for a run cancel is like 5 inputs) Just a naked run canceled to block?

if anything is an overhead I'd prefer the F4 of 2F4 to be an overhead, you could stagger that well and catch people as they stand to block it, would force people to stand and crouch against Kano. B312 should be a Tick on B31 if anything.

Wood chipper should be safer on block. I don't see much utility in it at the moment.

Cuthhroat's b1's hitbox is ass and should to be expanded.

Cybernetic seems to be pretty solid, even while lacking an overhead. Maybe a tad less damage scaling would make him feel more on par with cutthroat. The salt generated from knifeboy tactics makes up for it though.

I can only speak for cutthroat, as that is what I play.

If I were to give kano any buffs, this is what I would do.

1) slight hitbox expansion on b1. As it stands the only way to completely reliably hit it outside of the corner or running in like a madman is off a d3, in which the hit animation it causes moves their head forward and makes b1 easier to hit.
2) Increase special cancelable frames on second hit of b12, hit confirming with it is fairly annoying(when botched, feels like I had the right timing), and blindly just going into ex slice is an option that can get you blown up.
3) standing 2 should be a few frames faster, it has a use but in cutthroat is fully inferior to f2.
4) Up ball needs a better hitbox. It isn't good at the only thing it should be used for says it all.
5) Something something powerup moves. Just saying oh doesn't go away when hit might be gamebreakingly strong so that isn't an answer. Smarter man than me can figure out the fix but as it stands I don't find they are worth the investment.
6) JIP 2 needs its hitbox extended further down a little bit. Kano's jumping game is awful. Not saying it should be great, but it would be nice to not feel like an idiot for even attempting the jump. The majority of his body is below his actual hitbox and its just the easiest thing in the world to stuff him out of it. Also this is a "feel" thing, but I feel Kano has much less time to convert any JIP into a ground string than the other characters I play such as Kotal or Mileena, however I may just be crazy on that.
7) Lastly, and this is simply a complete quality of life change, expand hitbox on the fist of the final hit of 112 slightly. If you have any time playing with Cutthroat you have probably seen that final hit just miraculously miss more than a few times for little reason.

NRS players need to learn from SF players. The amount of buff threads I see on this site is absurd. I get that some chars are better than others but each NRS game is plagued by this stuff. At the end of this games patched life cycle, the community will decide on a couple of "top tier" fighters and then the game will die (another thing us NRS players need to address). In the end it wont matter unless he's top 3.

Did anyone notice if there was a hotfix recently? Because I can now parry erron blacks f13 string low with commando. And when I did 112 vs scorpion crouch blocking he blocks the second and third hits. Granted, they still whiff sometimes but it's not as consistent as before.....?

I use a lot of B3 on Oki and just in the middle of pressure if they arent crouching for whatever reason. tho B3xxchoke and B31xxChoke are actually decent anti armor on wakeup as well, the move has to be a bit longer, but it Beats out Predator's EX Scimitar lunge, along with 11.
