Im pretty sure reo was just making a point that other kabal players have won major tournaments with him. Doesnt matter when it happened just the fact that it did. I just think we should ban the character and let it be over with. MK will be much better off and more ppl would probably watch it.

Kabal has some victorious history behind him - he has conquered all over the world.
However as far as I am up to date (in the US) there are some good Kabals and one incomparable and everyone knows who that is.
I think if Reo would main some other character the winning ratio and all the statistics, rage and love for Kabal would look different. And that would happen for one simple reason, because at end of day, at the end of the tournament its the operator (player) that has what it takes, not the character.

There's been 5 Kabal players in a top 8? News to me. Hell, there's been more Kung Lao's in top 8 than Kabal, that fool must be hella bannable. Well let's look at this objectively people, what part of this string cancelled into a special was changed exactly?

standing 2 became active on the 7th frame and hit mid.
Oh wait, it still does.

4 hits low and has great range.
...it, still does.

Low hat can now be full combo punished by Sektor on block.
He could anyway.

Low hat isn't +20 on hit anymore.
EX low hat says what? Oh so, he has to spend a bar of meter to get it now, whoop-de-doo.

So basically what you guys were saying was, you didn't want Kung Lao to have an autopilot matchup against a certain character who Kung Lao has been a bad matchup for her in just about every game the two of them have been in together?

Sell the Vita costumes as DLC on console. Use the money for another patch. I'm happy. You're happy.

You guys know the reason there hasnt been a Kabal infested top 8 are because:

1. There arent enough fundamentally good Kabals to put there, I can think of 4
2. Its quite evident that a large amount of tournament players dont do their homework on other characters in the cast, therefore meaning alot of players still get knocked out by very gimmicky playstyles. Tyrant is a hero to do so well with Jax.

Lot of 5-5 or counterpick char here (smoke>freddy>jc>jax>sektor etc...). And in this, you forgot skarlet, reptile and kitana. Stryker can be good against kitana etc..

what I mean here is that every char can finally have a role to play in that game.

A few misconceptions to correct here:

1) Kabal isn't CD Jr. or PL's 'primary character to compete with'. Both of them are more confident in their Laos.

2) At the current time, there's only 1 real Kabal mainer that can reliably/consistent be expected to make top8 at a tourney where most of the top players are present. Maybe two if your stretch it. The era where everyone who has to face a Kabal player is quaking in their boots, is long over.

Top 8 diversity seems healthier than ever; with cyrax, kenshi, cage, kitana, freddy, liu kang, jax and sonya all in the mix.

For most people, it seems like it's as it always has been -- more about beating the player than just the character. And if you look at it player-wise.. The Top8/Top10 players haven't changed hardly at all thanks to Kabal. The names that were there before with other characters, are still there

Meh... Sorry I just can't see it. Yes he has a lot of tools. He's dangerous absolutely anywhere on the screen. He deals massive damage. And builds meter like wow.

But he's not undoable. You just have to be patient. Now REO, I highly doubt I could bait and punish him even once. But that's because he works hard and knows his character and his match ups inside out, and backward, and sideways and.... I need to stop I'm making myself horny. But that's just REO vs Goldfish. He's put in tons of work and dedication to do well. Honestly, it makes me happy to see that kind of effort rewarded. He could bend me over with any character I'm certain.

Other Kabals... It's never an easy fight for anyone. But that doesn't mean broken. Even if he is broken, he's still being controlled by a human and humans make mistakes all the time lol.

Capra was 1 of the Easiest bosses imo

Depends on whatSL you tackle him @ tbh. My first time going through I bodied the shit out of him, as I was far too over leveled for him at the time. My current run through was a pain, as I'm running with a very low vitality build (Vit 12) at time of encounter. He's easy as hell if you can take out the dogs swiftly, and give him the good old Taurus Demon treatment of plunge attacks. It's actually getting up the stairwell in one piece that's problematic.

Is kabal really Akuma ST tier? We're talking 9-1's across the board with a few 8-2's.

Kabal isn't that bad, but he does have 6-4's 7-3's and 8-2's across the board without anyone 5-5's or 4-6's, so it doesn't matter. Basically if you play Kabal perfectly you will never lose because technically in theory he loses no matches

What are you talking about? There are more Kabal players than there are Kung Lao players. Standing to does not hit mid. You can't spend a bar of meter to get a bar of meter with EX low hat, when have you ever seen anyone use EX low hat like that in tournament? EX low hat hits high anyways so it's not good. Kabal could definitely use some nerfs and they won't be useless and neither were Kung Lao's
