i guess because i use to do it with no problem and last night i could not do it even once .

i when in the practice room and try the one that in which the special will come out on hit and nothing will come out on block and the special would always come out on block

i even try it with a 3 hits strings doing it as fast as i could and then trying to cancel the specials right after it and the special would always come out on block.
Ty for testing it.
I dont know if i like it or not hehe!

your best bet would be to hit up @UltraDavid directly on twitter and ask him

It bothers me that so many people (many of which don't even really understand how the Option Selects work) are clamoring for them to be removed.

We should really evaluate a few things beforehand:

1. Do these OSes improve the viability of a character that would otherwise not be viable?
2. Do they make any particular characters overpowered?

Before we have a really good idea about this, we shouldn't really be gung ho about them staying or going.

The answer to both your questions is yes, and there's the dilemma. A character like Kung Lao definitely benefits offensively, but at the same time a character like Raiden becomes flat out ridiculous.

But we do know how they work. What would you like to know?

We know they affect characters unequally.

We know that they can improve the viability of low tier (there's some talk that both Mileena and Kitana are in such a bad place right now that they need OS in order to be viable).

Do we really want to balance around this instead of other ways though?

Why play "wait and see" on what is effectively a bug? Why not play "wait and see" on the game without OS (as it was ostensibly meant to be), and buff/nerf from there?

But I think what I'm getting at is... without that OS, would Raiden (or whatever character in question) even be GOOD? If not, then there's a problem there.

Well, yes he would still be good. But let's see he wouldn't be, then the appropriate response is to buff him (if he actually needed it) not have some mindless OS.

I agree with this approach.
Even if some characters lack without this adjustment to their risk/reward, this is honestly horrible way to make them viable.
Some tools that make them better and depend on player-made decisions sound like better idea. Thankfully, we have a few months of support yet...

I fear the day kabal is playable and his nomad dash cancels are back with option select to top it off.

Simple question which I think has a big impact on how MKX is played. Why was option selecting with normals while under pressure removed while option selecting with specials is still in??

What is the thought process behind it. IMo it's dumb and scrubby. Is there a reason behind it?

It should also be removed

Probably to make it possible to armor in the gaps of block strings. Since you need to press block when you do enhanced specials. IF they removed it, you would probably lose the ability to armor punish during those gaps, you could only backdash. Thats my theory at least.

The normals out of block thing was a buffer glitch, not an OS. Although it may have served as an OS in some situations.

This is true but there is also a buffer glitch with specials which is what the OP is talking about. It has nothing to do with armoring gaps either. It simply allows you to buffer a special so that it comes out on the first frame.

Tbh it doesn't affect that many characters, but it kills venomous Dvorah.

Buffering specials is intended. They're called reversals. Buffering normals wasn't intended. Reversal throws are a thing too.

Chaosphere said it better than I did. If they remove it, you would not be able to armor reversal during gaps in strings.

There it is...
As i understand raidens option select, on b2 if he hits the shocker wont come out but on block it will. You need to make no read or adjustment to input it effectively nullifies all risk. Please correct me if i have understood it wrong

If it is like this, thats effectively removing all risk reward using an input bug.
