Oh god that's spooky... It could have to do with the frame data changes on block? Maybe it was an accident?? Not sure. But hey! Marksman didn't change :)

ALso the netcode patch makes things feel a lot better. I got paired with a lot of good players with better connections.
 
several ways around this NJP problem if it stays like this.

Only use NJP offline and go into back 33 stab. It's incrementally difficult to do the F2,4 into 211 command grab after the NJP i noticed.

If i have no run bar, after the B32 U1 string i just do F1,2 into command grab

If i have run bar after the B32U1 string you can go into F2,4 into 211 command grab.

If playing online, instead of NJP you can either FJP into 211 stab or you can RUN into b33 stab (skipping NJP altogether)

Just want to say for fellow Marksman players.

Midscreen b32u1~short run, njp, etc. Is now nearly impossible. I got this down to a really high consistency over the past few days and now I can barely land it... Doesn't even feel practical anymore.

So we probably should just be going for F24, 211 xx Sand tacke or F24, 21122 xx Caltrops then right?

Glad im not the only one who can't do NJP with outlaw anymore. I been practicing for a while now and its still impossible to get used to this new timing >.<

Yeah it's gotta be dumbed down. Tbh I don't use the full string much, if I want a full combo off a low I go for the b32~gun cancel

-12 on f222 and -14 on b32u1 it looks like. Probably a bug fix
You mean f122? It was always punishable it seems they either made it worse or just corrected the frame data... my money is on the latter, but either way it wont alter much about his game.

b32u1 change doesn't seem important to me. The last hit could always be crouched under even if the opponent was blocking.

Also was 211 always -8?

I was messing around in practice mode yesterday post patch and im not sure if this has always been in or not (I wasn't aware of it) you can armor through EX Sand Grenade after Erron's mixup strings.

Yea you can armor through all of that even prepatch , didn't check every string but i think the only safe ones are 21122xxEX SG , b32xxEX SG , b12xxEX SG, f24xxEX SG and f3xxEX SG.

Btw if anyone still has prepatch on their xboxone or pc can you check out if you could neutral / forward jump EX SG out of every single punch of the 2112 string? I kinda remember them not being able to jump out of 211xxEX SG without getting hit by one the EX SG hits or maybe it is character dependent ( especially slow jump characters like Johnny and Kung Jin ) , test it out w Erron Black.

Also nice job @xGunShow putting marksman on the map

After watching @xGunShow I proceeded to steal all your tech with run canceling into another mixup, and ex throw in the corner. It's good if they can't tech it. 1 bar for the chance of 70% if they guess wrong as opposed to 45% which I still can't do consistently. Also the balls to wake up with sand clap.... I'm honestly impressed and also stole that :3 Hopefully at the next NLBC I'm at I'll be able to do some of that

It's a universal change;

  • Fixed several characters being able to attack on the first frame of a jump.
It also affects Kano and others.
I thought I found something weird with the timing of his NJP after a B3,2,u1 connected. Interesting that his combos as a whole are affected at mid screen.

Useless tech: f4 can reverse an opponent's wakeup inputs when timed right. When used on a cornered opponent it will leave them there

This is a really ballsy read to make, because if they block it you get cornered (if in the corner) and are put at huge disadvantage.

edit: Also upon further testing it seems that due to the nature of ex'ing a move, your opponent will most likely block if they try to wake up (unless they try to wake up with a raw special)

is the patch not out yet on XB1? I'm on XB1 and don't think I have the patch yet...

tested 211xxEX SG on sub zero and I was able to forward/back jump every time, got hit every time I tried to NJP. I could armor out with Icy Slide.

I never realized that EX SG is 2 hits, you can actually blow up armored wake ups with this. I seem to be getting most success after a slide or ending a combo with f24, into timing an EX SG.
