Erron Black Combo Thread

By popular request, I have decided to create the Erron Black combo thread. In this post, I would strictly like to focus on practical and consistent combos, but you can post any combos you want, which I may include at a later time.

The following staple combos are based on Erron Black's 52 Card Pickup tournament variation, which is currently considered superior to Barking Irons. In order to access the tournament variations in practice mode, go to "kustomize", "characters", and choose Erron Black. Click on one of the two default loadouts and find the "abilities" tab. Tap 1 and select the variation with a trophy icon next to them. Tap 4 and save. Perform the same procedure with the second default loadout. If you want the official names of the tournament variations, you have to change them manually.

Mid Screen

Starter - 2,1,2,1,2 (non-krushing blow)

- 2,1,2,1,2 xx b,f+4, d+3, d+1, f+3,2 xx slide. 31% of damage.

- 2,1,2,1,2 xx b,f+4, d+1, dash 2,1,2,1,2. 29% of damage.

Starter - 2,1,2,1,2 (krushing blow)

- 2,1,2,1,2, dash d+1, f+3,2 xx slide. 34% of damage.

Starter - b+2,2

- b+2,2 xx b,f+4, 2, d+1, f+3,2 xx slide. 24% of damage.

- b+2,2 xx b,f+4, 2, d+1, dash 2,1,2,1,2. 22% of damage.

Starter - b+2,2,2

- b+2,2,2 xx b,f+4, 2, f+3,2 xx slide. 26% of damage.

- b+2,2,2 xx b,f+4, 2, dash 2,1,2,1,2. 25% of damage.

Starter - flawless block u+2

- flawless block u+2, f+3,2 xx slide. 20% of damage.

Corner

Starter - 2,1,2,1,2 (non-krushing blow)

- 2,1,2,1,2 xx b,f+4, d+3, 2,1, 2,1, 2,1,2,1,2. 33% of damage.

- 2,1,2,1,2 xx b,f+4, d+3~U, 2, 2,1, 2,1,2,1,2. 29% of damage.

Starter - b+2,2

- b+2,2 xx b,f+4, 2, 2,1, 2,1, 2,1,2,1,2. 25% of damage.

- b+2,2 xx b,f+4, 2~U, 2, 2,1, 2,1,2,1,2. 23% of damage.

Starter - b+2,2,2

- b+2,2,2 xx b,f+4, 2, 2,1, 2,1,2,1,2. 26% of damage.

- b+2,2,2 xx b,f+4, 2~U, 2, 2,1,2,1,2. 24% of damage.

Notes

- 2,1,2,1,2 and b+2,2,2 have somewhat unusual canceling timings. Some practice may be required.

- holding up after moves in LnL (Locked and Loaded = b,f+4) keeps you in LnL, but performing LnL 2 in combos significantly increases damage scaling.

- ending combos with slide reverses sides, which may not always be the best decision in a competitive match. Use f+3,2 xx acid instead if ending a combo with a slide corners you.

- ending combos with EX slide does not increase damage output but okizeme potential as Erron Black recovers faster. A separate "okizeme" section will be added soon.

- if there is an acid puddle already active on the screen, you cannot end combos with EX slide.

- all combos above can be finished with f+3,2 xx fatal blow or 2,1,2,1,2 xx fatal blow.

I cannot speak for other forums, but Erron Black players in this forum seem a shy. LOL. Apparently, nobody wanted to compile the combos and create a thread.

TYM has also been very busy lately. Besides, I have no idea why anybody would be looking through scattered piece of information on Discord, Reddit, Twitter, etc. Waste of time.

What the hell is wrong with 2,1,2,1,2 or is it just me. I do the inputs but he just hits the first two then stops.
 
you must do it fast and clean. does anyone do the d1 after rifle launch? i can get it sometimes but the risk of dropping the combo is too high.

The best thing to do is to slide your thumb from 2 to 1 to 2 after pressing 2,1.

Yes. I have been hitting d+1 very consistently. I usually do a micro-step after LnL 2 or d+3.

I have no clue whats going on, I am literally in practice pressing all the buttons cleanly in less than a second and it still stops after the second hit.

Yeah, I made the KK combo thread 2 days ago, everyone was asking for combos, none of the assumedly thousands of people hyped for this game would make a thread.

The reason why ppl scour all those sites is because people don't want to come here. Nobody bothers posting much here, unfortunately.

Try this.method, it's a lot easier on the fingers and execution than sliding between 2 and 1

What the Hell is 'xx' in your strings of Kombo? Also How is it possible to use 21212 in dualshock4?
"xx" is an old Street Fighter notation that means "cancel into".

As far as 2,1,2,1,2 is concerned, I think the issue is that people are tapping each button individually. I slide my thumb from 2 to 1 back and forth. If my opponent blocks, the string comes out. If my opponent gets hit, I hit-confirm into b,f+4. If I my opponent gets hit and I see the "punish" or "kounter" message on the screen, I let the string finish for a krushing blow.

It reminds me mkx Kung Lao's string. I was laughing seeing my friend next to me turn his controller a bit and slide his fingers like crazy lol. But why not - in other cases you probably slide the fingers anyway. Just need practice to be accurate.
 
Im having a really hard time with this starter. If someone got another Kombo or can Just start the Kombos here without 21212 i would apreciate

I just practiced for fun it looks even more strict than MKX Kung Lao's lol.

Unfortunately if you want your 8F punisher you will need this string. With S1 I did not find any connection.
Other starters are slower but can work if you have the frame.
21212 is very good for hitconfirm too.

But input is meh. For me the B222 input is meh too. I do not like that type of dialing.
Probably that's why I skip this char but gameplay is fun.
 
Sadly, there's prob not much more that will be added to the OP due to the lack of variety for EB.

There are a couple like the KB you get from a b,f, 4, 2 when your rifle is empty but I don't think it's worth listing since it only adds like 1% more damage or something stupid like that.

Here’s a corner KB combo and a couple double KB combos that I found. It’s not really worth going for the double KB combo since it only does like 3% more damage but it’s good if you’re closing out a game.

Sadly, there's prob not much more that will be added to the OP due to the lack of variety for EB.
I will include the post-EX slide okizeme game to the first post soon.

Most characters in this game seem to lack combo variety. Breakaways limit combos even further. I almost feel like I had rather have access to as many krushing blows as possible than damaging combos because you cannot break away from a krushing blow that does 30%+ of damage.

I don't think BF4 D3 combos midscreen, but it does in the corner. If you're doing it in the corner and it's not connecting, it sounds like you're just hitting the D3 a little too late.
 
I have been in practice mode for 2 hours and recorded these combos. Most of the combos are already in this thread. I have not tried the double bf4, 2 combos yet.
