I can't beleive his wake up is so much useless.
Is there any potential situation when opponent must respect wake up?
    1. No timing needed to beat wakeup for a full combo
    2. Even if it suddenly hits it leads to nothing
    3. Its fully punishable on read

Not a Cyborg player here, so help me out - is it duckable? I take it it's stuffable, but many are. Not leading to anything is also fairly standard for wakeups. Doesn't the grappling hook have a hit of armor? I could see that as a viable alternative if so...

Powerfist should be a wakeup imo. His shit wake up is the only thing keeping this character from being good.

Ok yeah, I think the idea would be to get them to respect it so that you can grapple out. I think in that sense it's ok, but that's still pretty rough. If grapple doesn't have a hit of armor, give it. Then I think it's fine, risk/reward as usual. Ivy is in a significantly worse situation without an escape option, so I'd say he's at least better off than her. :p

Nope Ivy's is much better. Ivys is also a high command grab but hers can't be stuffed nearly as easily as Cyborgs and hers launches. Hers isn't great either but it's much better than his.

  7. Whether or not Ivy's wakeup game is worse is debatable. However, Ivy is in considerably less need of a good wakeup option than Cyborg because she has a few exceedingly strong tools in her kit otherwise, whilst Cyborg's tools are merely 'decent'.

It's definitely rough as a Cyborg player when you get knocked down in the corner. You don't have much to make the opponent respect you. They don't even need to time their knockdown pressure, it's incredibly easy to stuff Cyborg's wake ups.

That said, it seems like an intentional design decision and one that Cyborg players can get around. Good use of tech roll, delayed wake up, pushblock, grapple, and mb roll can cover most of his problems on the ground, they just take a little more skill and thought to use than a good wake. Most characters in this game don't have any truly unstuffable wake ups, so I think this isn't a unique or gamebreaking issue for Cyborg

    1. Hook is not a wake up afak
    2. Grapple is duckable and stuffable
    3. Cyborg is free for any mixup heavy char (I assume every top character...) - he can't wake up against them and even if he does that trade of is in not in his favor

I'd prefer one of the options:
    1. Make grapple not stuffable or
    2. Make hook being wake up or
    3. Make powerfist invincible wake up

I get why they want to make it his techno tackle but in order for them to make it this it needs either better recovery on whiff, a better hit box so it doesn't randomly miss people in the middle of them oki-ing us, or much more damage

I voted yes, but I dont think its completely necessary. I think they should make his df2 and df2u his wakeup.

Cyborg needs the ability to mb his uppercut on block. Don't give it invulnerability, but at least give him the ability to MB it on block (like deadshot's flying knee)

when playing him it doesn't feel like there's any reason for other characters to have wake-ups and not him. That being said he may not need it, it would probably make him more balanced though

I really think they should change grapple to df3 and db3... theres no eason for it to be such a hard input, makes it tricky to use in the neutral.
