I think it was sarcasm, referring to the people who cried about the mobility of inj as the reason why they suck ass at the game not anything regarding MK.

Also do pll realize MK and INJ are two different series? If you have a problem with a mechanic in inj than keep your complaint/crying to the inj series. It makes no sense to include a run button solely because a person was trash in a completely different game from another series.
I know coolwhip was joking, but I have seen it said in a seemingly serious context plenty of times regardless of Injustice.


You guys are too worried with Kabal, as long as his ex Nomad Dash loses armor and his Gas Blast get a bit toned down to 11 frames like everyone else, and his saw ghost hitbox gets fixed he should be fine.

Anyway, i'm fine with the Mk9 dash system, it makes the combo possibilities good, i really don't want Angola to adopt unlimited Run system all over again just because the run system is in mk10 (if its in).
I'm fairly sure a perfect IAGB from a neutral jump takes 15 frames to become active, wouldn't this make it faster lol?

No because it will create infinites. Dash blocking is (sweet ass) Fine.


Explain. The only way that would reasonably happen is if you could cancel out of a string with the run button (and I don't think that's what the OP is impying) and granted enough hitstun for another string to true combo.

I was disappointed MK9 didn't have it.
UMK3 is 19 years old, and it's still played - not widely, but it has its niche and is still played. MK9 is 3 years old and has been pushed out of some majors.

I'm probably alone in this, but MK10 should feel like UMK3. Of course you can use hi def graphics and not actors, but look at the original SF2 and SSF4. They share a lot of similarities with movement and gameplay. I'd be all for it for MK10.

How about a taunt button that u can dash cancel out of? so johnny cage hits u with a nutpunch and your left stood there like a dickhead holding ur bollocks and he's taunting.oh the rage.
That's why I love Lobo in this game! His back walk is literally a taunt!

I was referring to the Run Button Infinites of MK3 such as:


As much as you can predict which characters will be in, you can also predict that such new "features" will create Broken scenarios.

I'm probably alone in this, but If MK10 carries the story from MK4/5/6 it should feel like MK4. 3D.

I'm personally more excited about the idea of a sequel to Injustice more. I'm so afraid that the next MK is going to be more like DA & D, than MK4. I don't know... I just have this feeling that I wont like it like I liked MK9. On topic though... I think a run button would be cool.

Why are people using balance issues from 15+ year old games in this argument? "It might create run infinites" yes lets ignore the addtion of full combo scaling (gravity, push-back and damage) to the MK franchise. Hell, why are people using MK9 balance issues when discussing MK10? If your argument for/against something being in MK10 revolves around something in MK9 (especially if you mention Cyrax or Kabal) you should just stop posting. Please. STOP. We're not talking about "Ultimate Mortal Kombat 9" here.

That's Reptile's whiffed elbow dash, which was more to do with the lack of gravity scaling in the older MK games. Has nothing to do with the run mechanics. Although thanks for posting that anyway, that roundhouse/fastball setup was fucking sick lol.

This. Cyrax has been mediocre in almost every other game he's been in.

If you have one hit thats plus on block and nrs makes the start up frames on the run say 2-3 frames( which they would have to for it to be effective) we got infinites. That simple

That's subjective to the frame data of the normals themselves. Turns out that's not what he was talking about though.

No I do not want it as a universal system mechanic.

A few rushdown characters can have a run instead of a dash though. Not as a button, just a normal double tap forward run.

Because moves don't have start-up frames any more? "That simple" lol. Unless you're implying that we have a block-string cancelled into a run cancelled into a normal... but to break my own rule and bring up Kabal in MK9, I think NRS learned from that one. Cancelling into something that can be almost immediately cancelled out of is dumb.

It has nothing to do with whether runs in general should be in MK10.

Id like to see some use for the dashxduck animation they put in mk9. I have no ideas though so im all ears.

Also while rising attacks ala tekken could be cool.

Edit: different jump arc for dashxjump might work too.
