Character types and your 3

I'm currently listening to the latest KTP Podcast with REO and I think he's right, I think people are going to have to start taking mini teams to tournies to do well.

What's got me thinking though, is what character types are there. For instance, we have rush down characters, zoners, then what? Like what kind of character is Jade, CSZ, Nightwolf, Raiden or Quan Chi? Are there characters that dont excel in rushing or zoning but are a little bit good at both like Kano? Perhaps a list should be compiled of character type, and what each character belongs to. For instance we all know Sonya and Cage are primarily rush down, and characters like Noob and Freddy are primarily zoners.

Noob Saibot: Zoner
Smoke: Anti-Zoner/Zoner with smoke cloud

Sektor: Zoner/ Anti-Zoner with IAT. Rushdown has big holes imo.

Ignoring Skarlet, who's still in early stages of training, I'd say the three I use most and how I use them (As opposed to what Character type they are/ should be):

• Raiden: (I play more aggressively with Raiden, but recently, I've been learning to turtle like I should, but I still like to be in your face at times. But when my opponent is cornered, I like to apply pressure than I usually do and try to keep them there as long as possible.)
• Kabal: (I'm still working on his rushdown game, but for the most part I can use his zoning abilities. )
• Liu Kang: (I like to and be in your face. And with him, I can get that and his zoning game down easier than my other mains.)

I do agree with the input most/ if not all of you have for what kind of character these three are.

I've been considering a team of 4.

I really cant give up CSZ, I enjoy playing him too much. I dont know out of these 4, to make the final 3:

Baraka, Skarlet, QC and Freddy.

The knee jerk reaction might be to say "ditch Baraka" but i've played him a long time and feel quite comfortable with him. I really think I need Freddy on this team and so it comes down to Skarlet or QC.
