Nobody has an issue with acknowledging 2-8/1-9 matchups in this game, it's just a laughable pity that everybody only began masquerading them in droves with no collective thought process, all because you can't get a read on Pig's Kenshi.

That is why the community's levelling up and MK9's metagame as a whole has been all over the place since EVO.

Here is why I made this thread.. because too often people are made to believe "that mu isnt all that bad".. you hear this ALL THE TIME. The mu number tells the level of difficulty and adv/disadv in the mu.

There are no 10-0 mu's because its ridiculous to say that at the highest level, you cant win ONE game. If something is 10-0, its basically 100-0, which again is ridiculous. BUT... there are mu's of 2-8 and 1-9, and i'd say at least 80% of the community refuses to acknowledge this.

However.. I hate the term of "he knows the MU" or "He doesnt know the MU".. as if thats ALL that matters.. as if NO ONE out plays anyone any more. I hate looking at a tourney match and hearing "ohh this is a bad mu, but I think he does/doesnt know it" and its BARELY a 6/4. People do out play each other...

yes, there are times where the mu is so bad that you have to really take some risk, and when it doesnt pan out, ohh.. you played the mu wrong. No, you got out played in a really bad MU. and yes.. even when you lose a really bad mu, it still counts as being outplayed. losing a bad/good mu doesnt mean anyone played anything wrong, it means someone got outplayed.

Not going to say who to avoid causing problems but there was someone who beat someone recently and the person who lost made SOOOOO MANY FUCKING EXECUSES for why they lost to this player. They did not give the player any props or say they got outplayed or anything. Just generic shit and I wanted to say something but id rather just avoid causing issues. Be salty for 5 minutes then say ggs.

That's fine if every tournament announced no MK9 in 2013. MK9 is still gonna be at majors and grassroots as far as late July and there's no guarantee that Injustice is good or tournament viable or whatever.

AND YOU ARE DEAD WRONG...

The jury on Injustice is still out for most TO's to the point that MK9 is more likely to go back to EVO then it is for Injustice to be there. Injustice is more likely to be there next year, so TO's can see its tourney worthy. Injustice introduces some new stuff that a lot of people arent sure will translate well for a tourney fighter, so TO's may want to have a "lets wait and see" approach. Its more likely that MK9 as a lot of life left.

and next gen? dude... I hope you know that you wont see MK10 till at least 2014.. not around the corner.
