Just popped by to say something important.
HUMAN LIFE > VIDEOGAMES
People died...I saw a man's leg in a news photo with all the meat torn off and grissle dragging the wheelchair behind what remained of a bone as MT's rushed him away today. There was blood everywhere and I will carry that image with me forever...
I'd like to ask that even if you are disappointed that there's no stream that you show some respect for this decision. People have more important things to tune into right now than to see Batman vs Superman in a fan voted fight in a videogame. Games...they come and go. These characters are make believe. We are fans, we care...but people lost those they care about today. The people in Boston are not a statistic to marginalize. They are not "someone I dont know" to trivialize away as not worth interrupting your leisure. They are human beings. They have families, they have friends, they may even be users on this board and folks you've posted to without realizing it.
They are people. Do not joke about this tragedy. Do not trivialize the suffering of those who may have been affected by this with self entitled gamer syndrome. We are better than this. We love games, but this is bigger than our leisure time. This is human life and it is ALWAYS more important than videogames. Don't use this as an excuse to hate. They don't know who did it or why yet. Don't get angry in random directions and spew hate...instead show compassion to those effected. I dont want folks hearing rumors about this group or that group and going all hate talk on someone's country or people or something. We dont know...just focus what you can on compassion here. Anger is easy...dont let it consume you on these boards.
My heart goes out to all those effected by this. Tune into the news. Wish those effected well and if you can do anything to help then do so. And please be respectful here that they chose to postpone a stream so folks could focus on what happened today.
Thank you.
