if he were inviting you to have a beer as well and hang out and catch up (or to get the D ) then i can see you doing it, but did he even offer that to you? also this guy sounds like he was just using you to go get a couple beers and ran out of ways to go get said beer. i would have told him "yo we haven't chill in like a year and this is what you call me for? WE USED TO BE TIGHT DAWG!!!!"

As a man who frequently enjoys beer I would gladly help a friend out, we've all been there. Well. Not all. But most. I think ppl are too concerned about being taken advantage of. If its just once sure why not, good opportunity to catch up. My best friend works out of the country most of the year so I don't get to see him much but that doesn't mean if he called me up I wouldn't help him out.

It all depends if I was busy or not,

If I was bored as fuck and wanted to make money, as he was clearly willing to pay. I would have done it, because money for driving is pretty easy.

I also would have made him buy me a case of beer, then invited him over to my place or went to whatever party he was going to and drank all his beer and my beer.

Then I woulda beat him at Injustice and MK.

You must live in a small town then? or the country? or it was late and most of the beer stores were closed? Cause thats a hellova long way to drive to get beer.

Also, maybe that dude was having a really really bad day, and couldn't really talk about it with you, but just needed a few brews to relax, maybe he just needed a friend.

I wouldn't feel to bad about it man. If it does bug you and you wanna reconnect with the dude, call him up some time and go for beers.

I should've mentioned that he and I are underage. I really don't care if people drink underage, my only concern was being pulled over with s car full of beer.

It isnt where I live, it is where he lives. I can drive 5 minutes to get beer, but I dont drink so I dont lol

Zoidberg I would assume that you posted here to make your guilt easier, to read some jokes, and to hear opinions stating the obvious. I would say that only you have the right answer because only you know how much this friend meant to you. If your guilt is not dissipating that means you are angry at yourself for the decision you took.

I would just tell the friend that you felt it was not worth 1 hour of your time for some of his beers. Keep it simple and if he really was your friend then would have understood what your previous excuse meant and what your new message will mean.

While I do love me some absinthe, I wouldn't say beer is low-tier at all..unless you are talking about US domestics. I'd consider myself a beer connoisseur (I have drunken over 1000 varieties in over 15 countries) so I think I have a valid understanding of the MUs. By the way, the absinthe you can find in the western countryside of France is better than anything you can get stateside. I was on an absinthe kick when I was drugged out of my mind and hitch hiking through Europe back on my early 20's.. Good times.. Sex drugs and trance music baby.

Oh and Zoidberg, you did the right thing. If those kids can't get there hands on beer it's their own fault. From age 14-20 I had a solid alcohol source from a liquor store whose Yemenese owners decided to sell directly to me so I didn't have to deal with Roberto the Bum (great guy, who I taught English to and gave him money for eating cigarettes..R.I.P amigo). An hour or more for a beer run is ridiculous.. None of them had a dysfunctional parent to buy it for them?

close this thread please. here is the answer to your question. it doesnt matter how old you are. you shouldn't be beer for anyone underage. its cool to be cool and some may disagree but its not cool to go to jail. at least in NY you will. think of it that way. my work here is done :coffee:
