I wrote a detailed one for Part 2 before Part 1 came out (and you see it also has some spoilers for Part 1 like Kano talking to his tratficants for the plane trip etc), can be seen here:

I also said this on my discord before the 2021 movie after revealing the main plot in 2019 and people from the discord will confirm this:
January 2020: I stuck to my story. I updated the plot, as best I knew it. They were in Austrakia, so I had no idea who they cut or what they were shooting. I have pals, we talk like friends, I am not their employee and they only tell me what they can when we meet.
Here is what I wrote in January: There are many fights at the end of the movie in separate locations. All Earthrealm fighters get to battle the Outworld warriors, but I'm not sure who fights who. I was just told the basics. It was Kung Lao with Nitara and originally Nitara killed him, for Liu Kang to step up and avenge him. Mileena with Kano cause she wouldn't fight Sonya because she had no right to participate in Mortal Kombat and Mileena walked right past her , kind of a funny take. So that leaves Drahmin, Kabal and Reiko with Jax and Cole, but not sure exactly who fights who. These fights were originally all in a huge place between the realms when the clock struck the time to fight. They since changed it to multiple locations.
And then: Cole's wife's role was greatly enhanced too, she helps in the Goro fight, she crushes a car into Goro so that Cole can beat him. Obviously Cole is weaker than Goro and he only wins cause of plot armor. Same with Sonya v Mileena, she hardly lands a punch, she just uses her arcana. But the dialogue is exactly what I had told you- Mileena doesn't want to fight her because she doesn't have a tattoo and is considered unworthy, she walks right past her without killing.
So all of that happened.
Now for Movie No.2:
I counted about 10 sequences: intro is Edenia and Shao Kahn, then it's heroes re-introduction together with Johnny Cage, then fight at Sonya's grandparents' and Kenshi meeting, then I think it's Outworld scenes with Kahn's children and Sub-Zero, travel to Outworld village and meet the ones there, with a bit of training, meetings, bonding between characters (Emily-Lucas, Johnny-Sonya, Jax-kids, Liu Kang-Kitana), then fight at Sindel'sTemple and attempt to kill Shao Kahn, raiden dies, Scorpion vs Sub-Zero (this is the mid-point of the movie), heroes regroup at village and plan the final assault, Liu Kang and Kitana go in another direction and find the ancient path to Edenia, Shao Kahn sends troops to destroy everyone who is a rebel, final assault on the Dark Tower with levels of fighting (Liu Kang and Kitana join in the last fight), battle at the Fortress.
I don't know if this is too much.
I hear Part 3 is fucking mindblowing, it will really blow you away and leave you in a state of "Mortaaaaaaaaaal Kombaaaaaaaaat"
I can try a quick 3rd film plot:
- 1600s in China: older child Bi Han convinces his brother Kuai Liang to get on a voat clandestine and travel across the Sea to the Lin Kuei, where they are put to the service of the clan like child slaves with incredible ppwers. They train all day, there are also human Cyrax, human Sektor and Smoke there, they all train, there is a bit of rivalry between Bi Han and Smoke, who are older teens. Bi Han protects his little brother and they grow up and we see across the centuries as they perform asasinations across the world in a quick flash. From Kuai Liang's face we get back to Kuai Liang in present time in the Outworld Fortress, after having won the fight with Shao Kahn's forces, with Cole, Emily and Bo'Rai Cho there, witnessing the events the others witness from Kahn's Dark tower.
-.Johnny Cage is schooled by Raiden in the Chamber in Edenia on Shinnok and what it means to go into the Light, where they are drawn to. Raiden can't escape that Chamber anymore but he won't accept death,, it means leaving mortals tomtheir fate. They see Tanya freeing Sindel in Edenia and Cage goes to the Outworld Dark Tower to the others.
- Outworld streets are attacked by flying creatures from Shinnok's domain and Kitana knows where Sindel is going- to the Temple to become Outworld Protector and stop this, but the true Protector needs to pass a ritual. They race there, but Shangbhelps.heal.Kung Lao to make up and says "Fuck it, there's just 1 way to stop Netherrealm and I need an Army". So they split, but Kung Lao and Jax don't let Shang go alone, they take horses from Kahn's leftover army and find Kano along the way, who fights insectoids for his life (funny). They give him 1 alternative and he goes along!!
- Shinnok, Quan chi, Noob Saibot, Asherah, Havik and Drahmin are the villains controlling the Hell creatures on the streets
"-in Earthrealm there is a planet barrier set in place by Fujin when demons strat coming from black space and they collide with it like with an electric fence. Lin Kuei geadquartwrs gets an ancient signal of a torch and has a means of transport to Fujin's cave where he is holding chains of the Earthrealm underground atop an empty hole to Hell from where more demons are trying to come and he says Cyrax, Sektor, Smoke, though not friends of the shaolin, are the last hope.
- they transport to the Outworld Fortress where they save some people from the insectoids and Smoke, who is a knife-wielding teleporting character who recites poetry, befriends a little child he saved and they meet Kuai Liang, friend and runaway, Emily bleeds from her eyes and hands, Bo Rai Cho tells them she is possessed by Scorpion , they are summoned through Quan Chi's left behind gateway into Hell. Cole won't let her, but Cyrax, Sektor, Smoke travel with them into Hell."
"- Shang takes jax, Kung lao and Kano to a mountain where Jax needs to fight giants to open a gate into the core where the Dragon king army is waiting to be awakened and a massive gate as big as a football pitch needs to be pulled apart by mechanisms to reveal a looong descent in the fiery netherrealm below, from where Shang Tsung fires a soulnado that he uses to awaken his army (he uses an altar with 10 rings for this because he is powerless from his Shao kahn fight and thebrings alll snap at a period and he loses power)
- Sindel is taken by Tanya to Daegon, Jade and Ermac and all the gathered edenians, where she drinks some goo to make her Protector instead of Shao Kahn and the Furies judge her worthy , just as Kitana and co arrive. They fight, Kitana says they
must aid all the races of Outworld: Kitana fights Jade (Jade switches), Sonya fights Tanya, Kenshi fights Daegon (Daegon tells that his believed dead son is still alive and wins), Johnny and Liu vs Ermac. Sindel doesn't agree with Kitana cause she came back changed from death and you never come back as you were and she controls Edenia now so she transports all of the Edenians there thinking they are safe, locking the realm from Shinnok, but rest of Outworld races are left to die. "
"- Fujin gets overwhelmed by demons, he drops into hell fighting them, last we see.him (probably dead), Earthrealm attacked too as shields fall
- Cole and Emily and company find disfigured rotten corpses in Hell and it's Asherah's fomain, she gets summoned there and tries to spell Smoke sexually and kill him, but he forces her to lead them to the source of Emily's signal- a place where there is a giant hole in the ground leading into nothingness and covered like a prison with iron bars and below there are a few tortured souls clinging to stay afloat while thousands succumb into darkness. Hanzo is there, trapped.by Quan Chi, and Kuai Liang finally agrees to help his Shirai Ryu enemy and freezes the bars to release them. Emilybm is an empath (her own arcana) and feels the torture of all the souls, especially her ancestor Hanzo's. Cole asks him to let Emily leave now that he is free, but he can't tranport to Earthrealm unless summoned like in movie 1. "
"- Shinnok comes to the Edenian Temple and explains to Kitana and co there's nothing they can do, even though he can't yet climb steps leading into the clouds to Edenia, where Sindel has hidden the edenians. Kitana counters him, says smtg about helping all of Outworld. Shinnok seHanzo released and sends Quan Chi, Noob, Drahmin, Havik into the Netherrealm.
- Sub-Zero finds his brother who is now very different, Havik and Drahmin fight Cyrax and Sektor who are a duo and they kill them. Cole finds himself face to face with undead Goro and gets his ass kicked, Hanzo asks Quan Chi why he orchestrated his death just to be told that he needed specter like him to lead armies. Quan Chi fights him and Kuai liang and sends noob to discover the way they came in and kill everyone there. Smoke runs after Noob as Noob runs and retraces their path in the Nethwrrealm and finds the portal in the ground leading to the Outworld Fortress. "
"- in Edenia, Sindel finds Raiden stuck in the afterlife chamber, she laughs, tells him he needs to step into the light and let go, Ermac is still worried, she says nothing to worry, Sindel is left alone with the priest Daegon who secretly works for Shinnok, he stabs her abdomen and she losens the grip on holding Edenia shielded
- From Dragon King's cave, Kung Lao sees directly below the Netherrealm battle and he makes the decision to jump from as high above as the sky into Hell, nland and he saves cole from Goro, who he fights to avenge the great KL. Scorpikn tells Kuai Laing to go after his brother and fights Quan Chi alone, but Quan Chi throws him in fire lake where he gets pulled by undead. He then goes atop a platform and makes the same circle he made last movie and he transpport himself all the way up to where the giant hole abeov that leads is in the tomb of the Dragon King Army. He looks around and sees Shang Tsung and Jax and Kano holding the giant doors at each side. He wants to kill them but Shang tells him that now is their time, Shao Kahn is dead, they can rule if they work together. "
"-Shinnok smiles and goes up with insectoids into the Edenian Heavens and Edenians with children are scared, running around, dying Kitana and co run up to help them. Ermac is killed by a large number of insectoids, Tanya runs but she falls off thr suspended bridges to her death. Kenshi defeats Daegon this time, takes him prisoner."
"Kitana finds a dying Sindel and catches her hand as she falls over and Sindel has a moment of clarity of her daughter from Edenia and tells her to let her go as she needs to go where her place is- in death- she didn't come back right and she lets her hand slide. Johnny saves Sonya by using a shield power against Shinnok, but the only one left against him is Liu. He finds power to match Shinnok's, but even he eventually gets pushed back and as it seems that he will get defeated, Raiden, watching, lets himself drop backwards into the Light and travels space and time until the presence of the Gods, who tell him he needs to stay there as he has done his duty, but he can't give up mortals and he tells them he will go back, even though it's clear that anyone gping back first needs to travel through nothingness millions of years and emerges back very, very changed. So montage of Raiden travelling through darkness and Hellish landscapes for millions of years, face changing, grimacing, he eventually jumps out through the nothingness botomless pit in the Netherrralm and flies up so fast that he goes through the door to Dragon King's Tomb and up the mpuntain and into the Heavens to Edenia holding Shinnok into position from behind, pulling him back. But Shinnok sinks his feet into the ground and tries to hold. Liu Kang sees Raiden and Raidem is changed and tells him to stay back, as he is not the same or something to that dialogue."
"The entire souls of the Hell soulnado who make up the Dragon King Army make a greenish fog that rises to Edenia and pulls back to Hell all the insectoids.
- Shinnok gets pulled back by Raiden, trying to hold on to anythjng, from Edenia to Outworld streets and into the mountain of the Dragon King where he makes ine last attempt to hold and sees Quan Chi and tells him to help.
Ok, this is very convoluted in my head, I forgot that fown below, Cole saw how Quan Chi went up and he takes Emily and with Kung Lao the 3 fit into the circle Quan Chi made and it still works to tansport them up, but Emily is still looking at Hanzo drowning in the lake of fire ans has her hands reaching out to him and is crying as they teleport up. "
"Quan Chi turns his back at Shinnok just as he gets pulled through and Raiden falls with him and his entire army down intonthe well of darkness and into nothing, just as Jax and Kano let go of the doors and they close.
Quan Chi turns his back and smiles as he has won, but from deep velow, thousands of feet, Hanzo throws his spear and it goes through his chest and pulls him just before the doors close. He is left falling all that distance towards the fires, with Hanzo, but is not shown. Instead Kung Lao, Cole and Emiky appear up, her arms still stretched toward Hanzo and crying. Shang has no more rings, he is powerless and agrees to give himself up. Kano sneaks away though to freedom."
"Noob has followed the path and emerged in the Fortress of Outworld refugees. He has fighhts and kills Bo Rai Cho and prepares to kill the little kids when Snoke comes from behind and does his teleport and uses the knives to stab Bi Han, but Bi Han mortally wounds him before stumbling outside injured. Smoke sits leaning against the wall telling the little girl that he'll be ok, just needs to rest (which i think will make Smoke a very requested character).
Bi Han stumbles outside to find Kuai Liang risen through the pprtal. They fight because Bi han is not the same brother and Kuai kills him for good."
"6 ending scenes:
1- Kitana coronation as Empress of all races she saved with Jade giving the crown, from down below cheering heard by imprisoned Shang, who has precarious conditions as "reward" for helping, powerless, but eventuallly he makes a snall flame from his finger, sign they are coming back
2- Liu Kang and kung Lao in Raiden and Fujin's temple, now deserted, down in ccaves, Liu steps above an altar where a cup of goo is placed, Kung Lao is more like "I don't know about this", but Liu Kang drinks it anyway. You don't seen the outcome (the Furies eitherbkill hik or judge him worthy of being new Protector)"
"3-Kenshi is taken by a Daegon prisoner to a Red Dragon brainwashing monastery where they free many orphans and he reunites with little Takeda
4- Kuai Liang alone, looking at the Sea on a peer from where he and his brother took a boat to join the Lin Kuei all those years ago as children (oh, sorry, this was the very first scene, a flashback of Kuai and then training in the Lin Kuei Academy 500 years ago woth Cyrax, Sektor, knife throwing Nightcrawler Smoke and slight animosity between Bi Han and Smoke closing with Kuai Liang's eye and opening on his eye where he was at the start of the movie- at the Fortress after the fight, helping people against the insectoids. "
"5- Jax, Sonya and Johnny at lunch relaxing, last 2 holding hands under the table
6- Cole and Emily opening the "Shirai Ryu" school. She is happy but misses Hanzo (she touched a lot of people in the Netherrealm and felt their story), she assks Cole if they will ever see Hanzo again. He says "Maybe, some day, if he wants to come" but then remembers what Hanzo said. He takes the spear and goes in front of the school and slightly cuts his own hand he looks around at the clear sky to see if something happens and a slight wind blows. Fade to dark"
And answering some questions I was asked:
1. Is it Drahmin and Havik that kill Sektor and Cyrax or the other way around, cause it doesn't make it clear. And what happens with the ones who win?
2. You said in your previous messages that Shang Tsung is left an old man decrepit at the end of the sequel. So how is he here up and taking horses? I imagined him old and unable to move. Is this an error on your part?
3. Is there a Jade vs Tanya fight?
4. Ermac fights both Johnny Cage and Liu Kang at the same time? And then Kiu Kang fights Shinnok alone? Power levels??
5. Where does the black nothingness prison in the Netheralm go? Is this like it's connected to the empty space in between realms, like the Void or something like in the 3D era lore?
6. how did Shinnok escape if we saw the Amulet in Raiden's Temple in the first movie?
7. Fujin...we meet uim and then it's like "Bye, Fujin", he dies. What's that about?
8. Can you explain a little what happens to Shang Tsung at the end? He is prisoner of who? Kitana? Why is he Prisoner if he helped? Or did he really want to make an alliance with Quan Chi and it didn't work? What happens next with him?
I answered:
1. Havik and Drahmin kill Cyrax and Sektor in the 3rd act. Cyrax abd Sektor fight valiantly, but they get killed. So does Smoke, they are a Suicide Squad, introduced at the start of the film, but all die along. This will upset many imo and many will cry when Smoke died, he dies protecting a lottle girl and they want an actor who is lean and tall and good looking, think Jonathan Ryes Davies or how you call the lead from The Tudors. Smoke will have long hair, telwport like Nightcrawler from XMen, use knives like an ace (I remember seeing written a scene from the beginning when a sacred altar gets lit in the Temple of the Lin Kuei the first time in 2000 years, it's like a Roman ancient altar in their courtyard and Smoke is there aupposed to shoot his knives at targets across the courtyard with many Lin Kuei training, but just him and Cyrax and Sektiror go atop the ancient platform and answer the call, which turns out to be Fujin)
As fir Havik and Drahmim, I can't tell you what happens to them. Supppsedly they get trapped ij the Netherrealm (Asherah as well, cause she doesn't die) when Raiden and Shang Tsung's souls pull them all back and they don't have the means to escape anymore because at the end all the races accept Kitana as Protector of Outworld and the void left by Shao Kahn that allowed Shinnok to escape is no more. Also, Raiden probably doesn't let go. They fight in eternity.
2. When Johnny Cage is able to escape the Afterlife Chamber in Edenia he uses the same transport Liu Kang, Kitana and Shang used in the 2nd Part to get to the Dark Tower. And of course there's a reunion with Sonya thwre and she thought he was dead and his corpse is actually still there (!!) But it's real and alive Johnny, they ask "How?", he explains it was Raiden. They then go and see Shang barely breathing but he says he can help, Kung Lao is also badly hurt from the fight with Tanya. To make up for the death of Kung Lao in the 1st movie, Shang takes them down the Tower, where Mileena gets returned to life in Part 2. It's again a set used for filming in both sequels. So there is Shang healing Kung Lao in one of those pools and also resotring his youth, but he still has no powers. When the others race to intercept Sindel before she becomes Protector, Shang is like "Fuck the Gods, fuck everyone, only way to stop this- cause it's Hell outside, they could see from the balcony how insectoids attack everyone- I need an Army" and Jax and Kung Lao are like "No way, you're not leaving alone, we're gping with you". They try to get Shao Kahn's leftover army troops but they are dying one by one attacked by insectoids, people are rushing in their house, I think you get to see shokan women with children here, they take horses from the Kahn's stables and ride away, finding Kano attacked hiding behind a house and trying to escape and they take him.

3. There is no Jade-Tanya fight sadly. They are on the same side at first, but Jade sides with Kitana and Sindel doesn't take her along to the Heavens when she brvomes Protector of edenians. Later Jade gets there and gigjts to help simple population cause they are getting killed, moms running with children, Tanya tries to run but she is caught by insectoids and falls to her death a long fall. (Scene said close-up on dead eye)
But it was just a few pages, sidenotes, not fonal
4. Ermac is a real badass fighting both Cage and Kang. This is my opinion withoit having seen the scene, I love Ermac. Sadky, yes, he dies killed by some insectoids. I am not sure how I feel about that, I hope.tyey change this and Shinnok atleast kills him or something.
There is absolutely no backstory for Ernac which is sad. He is just with the Edenians, is supposed to be a great adviser warrior, face covered always, mysterious. He voices his concern when they get to Edenia to Sindel but she says they are safe. Which she believed right, but there was the traitor Daegon who stabs her so Shinnok may enter.
Ermac MIGHT be actually developed and explained if they make a 4th movie. There is only a devided story direction but the character choices will be final according to who is better received. So if Ermac gains a cult after his role, he will be in the 4th film. I think Smoke definitely will. From Part 1 I loved Josh Lawson as Kano and can't see Movie 4 without him, but who knows? Not my decision.
5. I have no idea. I think it's a montage with Raiden like in "2001 A Space Oddysey', whem the main character goes through space and time and you see mulyiple versions of him. I dunno, it's supposed to be a Raiden transformatiin from face, teeth, darkness, everything, as the path from the Elder Gods back to mortal realm takes millions of years for himself and yeah, he basically comes through dark space and exists through that prison in Hell only to break through it and rise to where he had died, in Edenia, grabbing Shinnok.
That prison is like the worst place in the Netherrealm where Shinnok imprisoned the souls that opposed him and Scorpion got trapped there too after leaving at the end of Part 1 and searching for for who hired Bi Han to kill his family. We don't see it, but Quan Chi and Shinnok imprisoned him there and he ppssessed Emily or contacted here to release him. Emily touches Hanzo and sees a bit of his journey and Quan Chi using him last 5 centuries to fight.
6. As I understood it, Shinnok is free in Outworld when Shao Kahn dies. Protector Gods like Shao Kahn and Raiden can keep him locked up in the Netherrealm. During the course of 2nd film, both Raiden and Kahn die. Shinnok can invade Outworld and there is a race for who to take Kahn's place.
Because Raiden went to Outworld with the gang for the "Tournament" to kill Shao Kahn, Earthrealm is protected by Fujin, who has it hard to hold shields against the Netherrealm demons
The Amulet is there, Fujin's only scene is holding in the underground altar 2 chains that strerch from an cave below the Temple of Raiden and which create a shield all around Earthrealm and yeah, demons come from the darkness of space and they hit the shield and are visible just when they touch it and they also destroy satellites and space stations in a horror event.
In a very fast cutscene, Fujin is overwhelmed and falls into the ground apparently into the Netherrealm and is attacked mid flight by insectoids, they are like Justice League parademons
I think they take the Amulet, not sure.
Oh, about the 1st question of Cyrax and Sektor, not sure what happens to them after they die in Hell, but they appear for sure in their cyborg forms in part 4, if it gets done.
I hope you will be happy with the films being close to game lore from all of MK2, MK3, MK4, MK5 .
7. Fujin is only Raiden's Temple's keeper, he was never nore than a glorified help for Raiden even in the games. I think you're right about him just being there and with no charavter development, but he is not a main character, just a guard. And when he falls, all of Earthrealm is left hopeless. He is a beloved character in MK11, but in the films he is an extra. I can pass along the complaint that he is undeveloped in just 2 scenes if that might help, but they won't listen to me.
The mythology of him and the Lin Kuei is pretty cool imo.
8. Shang Tsung is Kitana's prisoner, he surrenders when all his rings for powering the soulnado get snapped, the gateway traps the Netherrealm forces, he succeeds, but he has no more powers and is left along Jax, Kung Lao, Cole and Emily, so he can only surrender.
The part about his powers coming back against Kitana is only fan service. 4th movie takes place somewhere else.
If the movies do well, there will be a 4th part and a 5th part that I know minor details of. 4th part is a mixture of MK Deception and MK Armageddon. 5th part is a prequel with Raiden and another apprentice, set in the 9th Mortal Kombat Tournament. The Raiden from the movie is supposed to be borderline cruel for a reason.
